I bought a puppy from here 5 months ago and he was violently sick for the first 3 months I had him. The manager initially told me he had "a little diarrhea ". When I got home home he was pooping diarrhea every two hours that smelled like rotting chicken and was an extremely unhealthy yellow. I was extremely concerned and took him to the vet. They ran a series of tests on him and could not figure out what was wrong. I called the store and informed them of his condition and they blamed it on a "chicken allergy ". I changed him to a strict no chicken diet and all it did was change the color not the consistency or smell. During my frequent visits to various vets, I actually ran for into three of his siblings having the same symptoms some far worse than he was. Then one day I found him laying on the floor breathing heavily and drooling profusely. I rushed him to the vet and they diagnosed him with parvo(a disease that tends to kill puppies). I was told that he was in the later staged of it where he was going to start vomiting blood and had just caught in the nick of time. He ended up being hospitalized for 3 days and quarantined for 6 weeks. Lucky for me, my family coached me through how to take care of him. The store tried to blame his parvo on other dogs in my neighborhood and did not want to take responsibility. They did pay a good portion of his medical bills but towards the end were not as polite due to my constant calls about the status of his health. One of the managers there even told me that I was lucky that the store was so gracious for paying for his shots (which needed to be redone cause they administered incorrectly) along with his medical bills of his unknown illness. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BUYING A PET FROM HERE. Thanks to the support of my family and friends, my puppy survived but my vet implied that my dogs siblings were not as fortunate.

If I could give 0 Stars I would... Through sheer ignorance I contributed to a problem that plagues this country. Puppy Mills. This store sold me a sick puppy with Parvo from one such Puppy Mill, claiming he had a simple case of Diarrhea and that he was from a "Local Breeder"... I spent the first few weeks of dog ownership in a fight for my new puppys life. I am grateful to say that he made it and he is currently healthy, happy and just turned 1 years old (No thanks at all to Yuppy Puppy). This store is irresponsible, and more importantly, unapologetic. During the entire process of medical reimbursement (which, according to the Pennsylvania Lemon Law, each of you who YP sold a sick animal to are entitled to full reimbursement of medical bills up to the cost of the animal) the staff were rude to my wife, telling her that she "should be grateful they are doing anything at all". TL;DR This store is reprehensible, and the staff are rude once they have taken your money. They happily deal with Puppy Mills, and will LIE to you in order to make a quick buck, potentially at the cost of your new Puppys life. I hope they go out of business.

I have read the one star but it did NOT indicate their experience with a puppy they purchased. Here is my experience with a puppy I DID purchase. I searched online, breeders and shelters and was on YPs waiting list. I simply asked YP to give me a "healthy golden retriever". I did not want to pay $1500+ (going rate) for a puppy online or through breeders. On September 2010, I got a call that a couple goldens arrived with ACA papers along with certificate of good health by a VET (one important document the person with the 1 Star gave who should have checked before buying!). Today, I am so pleased with my purchase even though my puppys classmates were worried that I should have gotten him from a breeder. He has grown to be a S.T.A.R Puppy and it training for his CGC. We are so proud of him. I am commented all the time on how handsome he is. To be honest, he is more intelligent and easily trainable than a puppy we got 5 years ago from a breeder and paid $1500 not to mention airfare fees. So my advice is check for VET Papers! Thank you YP for our puppy we love him!

Please dont ever buy a puppy from here. While the employees at the store might be nice and helpful, this store knowingly sells puppy mill puppies-- the ones that come from those horrid mills in Missouri & other states in the South. Was shown "paperwork" by one of the employees on a westie puppy that was there. Was not going to buy, but was just curious as this place claims that they only get dogs from "local" breeders only. I got the breeders name from said paperwork and did some research. The dog came from a puppy mill in Missouri that was listed on the top 100 worst puppy mills in the US. This place doesnt care about animals, just turning a profit. Its tempting when you walk in there, because you see the pups living in saw dust and you just want to "rescue" them. Seriously, dont do it. Dont allow Yuppy Puppy or these unscrupulous breeders to profit off of you. No matter how "nice" or "helpful" the employees are. Remember, theyre just there trying to make a living like anyone else. I just dont know how the owners of this place sleep at night.

DO NOT FINANCE A PET WITH THEM! The pet store is fine, they offer military discount. However, they lease their pets using wags pet lease program. This is a horrible program, the lease is from Monterey financial, and it is the biggest scam I have ever seen. I leased my puppy, he is healthy and I dont regret buying him, but In the process of making an early payoff of the puppy, I was scammed out of money. Monterey quoted my early payoff, they said the quote was good until 2/16/17. I paid the amount that they quoted and everything was fine. On 2/16/17, they call me to tell me that they quoted the wrong amount. I have to pay them more money, by the end of the day, or my early buyout is invalid and I will be stuck in a 24 month lease that would end up costing $2k more. So I had no choice but to pay them more money. The worst part is that the initial quote was absolutely correct. They didnt make a mistake and give me the wrong buyout amount... they just stole money from me. I was robbed.

I walked in with my best friend to see all the animals and let me just say.. i walk in and theres no one to be seen no welcome no one visible, so me and my friend are look at the reptiles and furry animals when u first walk in and they look poorly taken care of, the tanks are dirty some of the animals have lights and some dont they look so unhappy and non active animals, as we walk towards the puppies i see 2 people in the back arguing people who work there a older man and a younger lady theyre arguing about something that was going on between the staff. I one time asked a lady if i could see a puppy and she right off the bat said if u dont have money to buy one you cant. Assuming i dont have the money to buy a puppy and how would i know if i want to buy it if i cant even see it. They are EXTREMELY rude and are not capable of caring for the animals they sell. I wish someone would shut them down before these poor animals end up dead.
