Very bad beds. We bought a very expensive bed at Sleepys. Within only a few months it was badly sagging in the middle. It is the worst bed I have ever slept in. I now have lower back pain for the first time in my life. I slept on the floor for three days and my lower back pain disappeared. Then I slept on the Sleepys bed again and the pain came back the next morning. The sales agents are on commission. They will say anything to get you to buy a bed but be very careful because the entire purchase is set up to trick you. How do they trick you? Because so many people try to return the awful beds, they have set up their system so they make a profit even when you hate their bed. They will try to get you to accept "free" pillows with your expensive bed. But the pillows are not really free. The pillows cost something outrageous like $100 (I dont remember exact price now but VERY expensive). You dont get the pillows for free. You actually pay for the pillows and the cost of the pillows is deducted from the cost of the bed. So if you try to return the bed, you pay like $200 or something for the pillows still because you cant return them. Other sneaky things they do: They will try to tell you that you will get an interest free loan to purchase their expensive bed. But read the fine print, if you are ever even a single day late paying on the loan, then it reverts to a loan with an extremely high interest rate. They know most people will pay late once even if only by accident so they are counting on actually extracting an incredibly high interest rate from a large percentage of people who take out this loan. Next trick, I believe they build their beds to sag when you are in them but to pop back to shape after you get out (because building a bed that doesnt sag takes expensive materials--they are cutting corners by using materials that pop back into shape when no weight is on the bed). The reason this matters is because the sag has to stay in the bed when you arent in it or else they say there is nothing wrong with the bed. With someone in our bed it looks like a hammock. But with no one in the bed, it only sags a little. My suggestion to you is if your bed sags and they send someone to measure it, then you should place a bunch of bowling balls and a tv over where it sags before the bed measurer gets there and remove them immediately when you see him coming up the drive because I 100% believe they have constructed their beds with some material that takes back its shape with no weight on it but that will sag when you lay down. They should measure the bed with you IN it but of course that is not their policy because if it was, they would go out of business with the refunds they would have to pay out. The next way they trick you is giving you a "free" mattress protector that is really expensive. If you return the bed, you are still stuck with the cost of the free mattress protector, which was never really free. You actually paid for the mattress protector and again it was deducted from the cost of the bed. So their return policy is set up to cost you a lot of money. If you return the mattress, your "free" mattress protector and pillows suddenly cost like $300-400. And of course there is also the cost of the bed frame. In my opinion, the entire purchase experience from Sleepys is a big con game. Their beds are awful but the prices are what you would pay for a really good bed. Their contracts and sales receipts are extremely tricky. Our experience was that we got a $100 dollar bed but we payed $2000 for it. Google "sleepys complaints" and you will see how many customers all say the same thing...saggy beds, lower back pain, tricky contracts, trouble returning the bad beds. My advice, dont even think about walking into Sleepys. The sales associates are experts at getting you to trust them because they have an ulterior motive--their commission.

The absolute worst experience. I went in and selected a bed. Talked to the salesman. Found out when I got home that the internet price was much lower than he quoted me. I called and he said he didnt know that - after telling me he worked as a mattress salesman for ten years - isnt that his job. Anyway, I hate to be lied to so I cancelled the bed. After a week had gone by and still no credit appearing on my credit card, I was notified that the bed was in and ready for pick up. I called the salesman back and he said it would not appear on my statement until the next one came out. Which means that I am responsible to pay $667.00 (to avoid any interest charges) for a transaction which was supposedly cancelled. Not like he was too busy to put this through - I was the only customer in the store! Buyer beware.

The last time may wife and I bought a mattress was almost 40-years ago. Need I say we were not only first time buyers but needed some education on todays mattresses. Store manager Jerry was our saying grace with his many years of experience and great service. After visiting two other competitors, Mattress Firm had the lowest prices and we walked out buying two Queen Sealy Posturepedic mattresses off the floor, bed frames and sheets, pillows and comforters. We saved $1,900.00.

We had such a positive experience with Frank at Mattress Firm in Shrewsbury. He spent the time with us to make sure we got the mattress we needed within our budget and did not pressure us at all. He was friendly and helpful and we had a great buying experience. We had shopped around but will return to Mattress Firm when we need to make another mattress purchase because of the fantastic customer service we received.

Salesman (jerry) was friendly and knowledgeable, but direct and to the point, which I like. The prices were much cheaper then the store up by five guys. We told him our budget and he fit us with a good quality mattress. Absolutely recommend. Fyi the other 2 reviews on here are from before mattress firm took over. Completely new staff and products
