I walk on into the local Ross this evening, as the economy has not fully recovered from the recession and their slogan is "dress for less." God bless capitalism to provide us with these wonderful options, however, some managers at Ross choose to act more like communists. I decided to purchase a pair of bookends as I enjoy being a well read, informed citizen. As nobody in their right mind would buy a single bookend, a pair of bookends was my pick of the evening. The price sticker on this pair was $8.99 for the both of them from what I understood. When I got to the register the cashier scanned the bookend twice as to make me pay $8.99 for each bookend. I made mention of this and the cashier called over the manager. The manager came over seemed to imply that I tore the sticker off of one of the bookends in order to get a discount. I Couldnt help but wonder what had happened to her in her life that could cause her to be heinous and unfriendly. Had someone ripped a sticker off of her and been bought at a discounted price? I like to believe so. She told me in a guttural belch to have a nice day, and because I was able to write this review it truly has been a good day.

I almost always dislike going into this store. They have smaller carts than average and theres a long metal pole sticking up to the top of it - to make sure that no one takes any of the carts out of the store. The shelves and displays are always, and I mean ALWAYS a cluttered mess. The staff is generally cold and unfriendly. Not to mention, kids running around wild in the store while the parent is yelling at them constantly but continues to look through the merchandise as shes doing it. And for some odd reason, theres a security guard at the door!! Why the heck does Ross need a security guard at the door for?!? Well, then again, if youve ever been in there, Im sure you can guess why. I avoid this store at all costs. Especially when TJMAXX and Marshalls are in the same shopping center.

Today I had my cell phone stolen out of my cart at this store while I was shopping. I reported it with girl in fitting room and asked if she could please call the security guard.the manager called and told her the security was on a break. So I proceeded to go to the register where the manager (Tina) was to talk to her myself. She seen me and ignored me and proceeded to continue ringing customers up. The situation was serious to me and they acted as if it didnt matter to them at all. And the manager was very rude. Terrible customer service!! I later got my phone back luckily . But it was stolen there and I was very upset no one seemed to try to help me at all. Last time I shop there again.

This ONE star is for the customer service itself , BAD, Terrible, horrible, rude and not even a trace of kindness beside the fake" have a nice day" . While I paying I asked the cashier about a bag to put my purchases and she Roar on me....she changes color faces like if she will be having a hard attack, she almost eated me alive.. The manager who is Psyco bunnyvhas the same attitude no wonder how they all are so rude. I know that Ross is a "savings store" however it does not mean we are to be treated like that.

The service at cash registers was faster than the last time I went there. The prices were not too cheap. I think they should be lower than in others store. Also the bags prices are high.
