I used to love to support my neighborhood mechanic and still think its a great thing to do...but I cant afford to drop off my work van and have him tell me itll be ready in a couple weeks or "I cant get to it for a few days". I cant just get a ride to work from a coworker or friend. At Pep Boys I can call to schedule an immediate drop-off and am almost always guaranteed the repair will be done later that day or by the next morning which limits my losses from down time. This quick turn around time applies to my wifes Hyundai too. Their rewards club allows me to earn money towards my next repairs and I tend to earn a lot of reward money. When I check my account online I always find at least a "10% off any service" coupon along with multiple other coupons. It just takes a couple minutes to find and print them. Time well spent. The rewards club also comes with towing within 20 miles that costs less than my towing service I pay an annual fee for. I just dial 1-800-PEPBOYS and give them my number. I just discovered this a few days ago when I needed a tow. Obviously I am about to cancel my towing service. I used to think all the warranty stuff was just a way for Peps to make extra money off me but as a regular customer they keep surprising me with "no charge, that was under warranty" and I wasnt even expecting it. Even though I only have one vehicle in my "fleet" they give me a fleet discount too. I also like that they have a crew of several trained mechanics and supervisors. There is always an expert on staff that can analyze any problem my red Astro has and fix it. With Pep Boys I no longer have a neighborhood mechanic. I have an entire staff of trained neighborhood mechanics

Had scheduled an appt to have 4 tires changed. Appt time was 9am it is now 11:30 and Im still waiting. Im guessing I might make it out in 3hours. Thats almost an hour a tire. I feel like the service here has gone down hill. Managers yelling at cashier to stock shelves and then yelling to check ppl out. Customers always seem angry. Seems like chaos here every time I come. Anymore I think I rather deal with the dealer price is about the same, they usually offer some kind of shuttle service, and Im confident they know what they are doing. Nothing worst then hearing the manager here call a customer and tell them they replaced a part but still didnt fix the problem. Ummm. Dont think I will be back.

mixed feelings. I had an appointment to get an oil change at 6 showed up at 5:45 and it took over 2 hours. I did not get out of there until after 8, my car wasnt even brought in the garage until 7:15. On the plus side they were very apologetic about the situation and gave me my oil change for free which was very nice of them and I truly appreciated. On the negative side they took a truck in to change its tires who did not have an appointment instead of my car. Prioritize.. if you have a customer who has an appointment and needs an oil change that will take 20 mins maybe take them in first over the truck who shows up last minute to get tires put on that will take 1+ hours.

The Service Manager here, Jose Rifas, along with Dana Crosby, and Mechanic Johnathan Pursell, gave me 2 of my best experiences in my Automotive Service and repair. The accuracy, promise and experience that I received will be ones that I know will extend to others. When you want something done right, with the highest level of professionalism, look no further than Pep Boys of Quakertown to make your day. Hats off to the manager of the store for selecting some of the best people out there. Travis, the Speed Shop Manager will also get what you need, another area of the store that you cant possibly expect nothing but the best. Thanks!!!!!

I stopped into this store and because I had a screw in my tire. The guy behind the desk Joe said he was slammed with customers asked if I could come in the next day. I explained I had to go to work. He said if I didnt mind waiting he would work it in, only took an hour to get the job done. Any other company would have just let me go on my way. Because he took the extra time to do this for me I will be going there and dealing with him for all four of my tires. My oldest son always has told me great things about this store and what they do for him. I now know first hand how nice they really are would recommend them to everyone.

Second time in a 9 month period I ordered a part online that was listed as in stock and available to pickup. I waited an hour before going to the store only to arrive and be told its been busy and didnt get to pull it yet. I then waited in the store for 15 minutes as they looked for the part only to be told they cannot find the part. They asked if I could come back the next day and they would have it then. Sorry, I need the part now. Auto parts store right down the street pulled the part within minutes from their stock room and matched price. I will go there first next time I need a part.

This place cause me to waste hours upon hours of time. I went in for new tires and they stripped out four lug nuts. I went back to get the lugs fixed and they stripped out more lugs. Since they had to take off the old brakes and rotors to fix the lugs, I asked them to install the new brakes and rotors instead of putting the old ones back on. They said I would have to pay full price for a break and rotor job and said they were giving me a courtesy to replace my lugs for free. A courtesy would have been to put on my new brakes and rotors. Such a waste of time, money, and stress.

BEWARE!! They mess with your car! I took my car here after it broke down. They wanted to charge me $650 for two belts and replacing the coolant reservoir, RIP OFF! So I declined their service, paid them 100 for the diagnostic fee and towed my car to a local family owned shop and got the job done for $250, 400 dollars cheaper! SO TURNS OUT, as what I assume is payback for declining their services, they INVERTED THE TENSIONER SO THAT THE WATER PUMP BELT WOULD FALL OFF AFTER REPAIR!! Very sketchy, lack of integrity and no one should trust their services!

I ordered tires online and when I got there, they didnt have the tires. The manager gave me better ones for the same price (good deal). I also made an online appointment in advance to have my tires installed at 2:00 pm. I went outside and saw my car right where I parked it at 4:00 pm and complained to the manager. The manager said my car was coming in next. I did not leave until 5:45 pm. When they pulled the car around front, a center cap was missing and no valve stem caps. When I took it in, there were valve caps!
