Tbh , my favorite bookstore , always has been. Ive probably bought over 100 books (lifetime fitness) at your bookstore and today for the first time my experience wasnt great. I walked in to return a book which went smoothly and when I went to go look for a book I had an empty coffee cup. I looked for a trash can and found one behind an empty counter. When I turn around I am greeted by a woman working there giving me the "Stink eye" and questioning me if I needed help. I responded "no, is everything good?" It was strange. I wanted to test the waters a bit and went back to throw away more trash. When I did I was told off by the woman something along the lines of "dont go back there" I replied "I just threw away some trash" she replied "you can ask us to throw it away for you" I hit her w a "I dont care... relax miss" I was excited to get a book and look where we are now. Get your shit together miss.

like 3 years ago:::: there are 8 huge comfy chairs. thats actually alot. plenty of cafe & other seating. thers no sofa anymore. its a large 1 floor store, so nice selection. the girls or women that work there are not as hot as I would like. try exton PA or devon PA. like many patrons, I like that you can just hang out and read. open til 11 fri nite. update. 2012-ish:::: all the large comfy chairs are gone. I think. theyre gone from most barnes & nobles these days. I am more mad about this than I can explain. because bookstores dont even exist very much these days anyway. ok, end lament. theyll sell you "starbucks-licensed" drinks & food all day. but a comfy chair? hale no. ugghh.

The woman who checked us out was incredibly rude the who time while she checked us out. Looking festive in a santa hat and green bell earrings, she made it clear she did not want to be there or have anyone spend money at the store, acting disgusted at the books we had placed on the counter. From asking us for our membership to telling us she didnt know how to enter it, she made it very clear she thought everything was a bother. To add icing on the cake, she threw our back across the counter, knocking the drink from my hand because she overshot. Her first comment was, "That was not my fault." Nothing about are you okay? Are you now soaking wet? (Which I was). Will not be returning.

You are better off buying from Amazon. I will be preordering all of my books from Amazon from now on. The staff lied to me about my book being there, said it was in the back being unloaded and should be out in two hours. Five hours later I call them and it was never even on that truck. Either they have no idea whats going on or are too lazy to help customers. Its not the first time the staff has been rude and incompetent.

Good customer service, great book selection, always well organized. Mens room is often not as clean as it should be, and I go there often. Also, if you ask for a cup of water in the coffee shop, they only let you have a Dixie size cup, or you have to buy a bottle of water. Kind of frustrating if you want to take Advil! They have a "Starbucks", but it isnt a real Starbucks in that they dont take their gift cards etc.

They recently brought back a few sitting chairs! This is a nice, clean B&N, with a good selection of books, games, and gadgets, and a great cafe with friendly employees. Staff is always very helpful and knowledgeable. However, I feel in recent years that the toys have taken over (I thought thats why there was a separate kids section) and the books are no longer the focal point.

Excellent! We were welcomed and offered friendly assistance as soon as we entered the door. Our salesperson knew of the book for which we were looking, showed us the section , and within seconds, looked up the author for us and found the book. There were so many books throughout the store that were so enticing, just couldnt buy them all today!

" [holiday] might affect these hours" - this is only minimally helpful. Surely at least on the day of a holiday and even the day before the holiday, the store knows what its hours will be, so why not share that information with the public???

Good staff, great selection and choice of items and books. Even though I bought Pokemon Cards and some manga the lady at the checkout didnt judge so thats always a plus.

Got help right away. At register line, they actually requested additional cashiers when the line was more than 2 deep, very refreshing in todays retail environment.

Staff is helpful, if you can find them. Staffing cutbacks mean few people are working. But they are doing pretty well even with reduced staff.

Book stores are a dying breed. However, B&N is clean and has a wealth of books. Browse all day. Starbucks inside. Cant go wrong here.
