I thought Id "keep it local", and I called for a quote in April of 2016 for some length Poplar 1/2" X 1 1/2" stock. Some call it "screen stock", and I hadnt found a lumber yard that didnt carry it...until I called Tague! I needed at least 300 lineal feet to start for an ongoing project, and I was put in touch with a salesman who subsequently left me a message. "It would have to be custom milled" I was told. "$2.95 a lineal foot" I was told. I called back and left a message for him to call back because maybe he had read the quote incorrectly, but never received a return call. I found the stock at Denoon lumber in Ohio for 25 cents a foot. That being said, I do like their tools. And their millwork is, in my opinion, second to none. But cmon...rake me over the coals for some ordinary lumber? Im not havin it!

I do believe whole heartedly that if you have ever dealt with Tague that my title line says it all. They can price lumber packages, get exotic hardwoods, have a full selection of Azek in stock , great prehung doors and a gigantic selection of base / crown / casing. They will do their best to do price comparison and I have found it almost impossible to not be loyal. All of their delivery staff are on point and get the job done. Sure maybe I pay a $1 extra for a 2x4x8 than HD but Im getting a kiln dried, straight piece of no.1 select stock instead of a sloppy soaking wet mess you would get at the box stores. My contact there is a guy named Ryan, no BS and makes it happen quick.

I have had 2 serious problems with this company. 1)They did not return my phone calls or update me on the progress of my order at all. 2) I caught one of the service reps telling little lies on a few occasions. I would have broken my contract with them after the deposit was made if I could have legally. They have access to standard selection of windows. There are other, more organized companies out there. Find them.

I called them , they put me on hold and after 20 minutes I hung up and tried again couple more times without anybody answering the phone, then I called from my other phone and they simple hung up. It was my first time calling this store, I normally use the Phoenixville and Media stores, they are awesome !
