WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I have visited DMI Home Supply & Renter Center several times this month and Mike, the owner Toms son, has a major attitude problem especially with women. When I went to purchase garden soil he was nasty and too busy to help me load it in the car, When I got home he over charged me for the number of bags I purchased. Buyer Be Ware! They are always too busy to help you or care about you at DMI. Another fact, when I went to get dry wall bolts to hang a mirror they were not only unfriendly but Mike was rude to me again! Mike and Tom talk down to their customers. They DISCRIMINATE against women! If you are not a contractor they will not give you the time of day. I went to purchases flag supplies and asked if they could cut a steel rod down for me. Mikes response was NO they do not do that and even if they did he was too busy and refused to sell me my flag supplies. I totally lost it but then apologized. They refused to sell me my flag supplies. I felt totally mistreated and disrespected!! I will never step foot in DMI again and neither should you! NEVER SHOP AT DMI.

my review was apparently removed. I wrote about my experiences ordering a storm door. Two weeks after ordering it, and hearing nothing, I called to inquire. It took 2 days before I could get any answers. My door was never ordered. The guy claimed to have called me and left two messages. I checked my verizon phone records online...he never called. When I shared this information he just kept insisting that he called and was implying I either forgot or was lying. Never good to call your customers liars. It took me another 3 weeks to actually get the door. My review was saying I would be appeased with free installation but after a few weeks of no responses from DMI my review was "mysteriously" gone. Im very surprised because everyone there seemed really nice. Apparently they are just lacking in attention to detail and customer service. Two things which, I think, are sort of important when youre running a business. I wont be going there again and will certainly be spreading the word to everyone I know of their terrible customer relations.

I dont know about those negative reviews but when I walk in the door, there are always more than one offers to help me find something and everyone is friendly. If they dont have something, they offer to try and find it for you or tell you where you can find something. I highly recommend them. Comparing prices, sure the big box stores can be cheaper but DMI is so much closer and the money you save by going to Lowes or Home Depot isnt worth the time and fuel.

I went in with a piece of plumbing that my friend told me may be hard to find. Not only was I greeted at the door, but was taken to the right product within a minute of walking in. The gentleman that helped me walked me through the steps so that anybody could follow. I would have easily wasted 15 mins walking around looking for help at Depot or Lowes. I will definitely be back.

Though they may not compete with the prices of the big box hardware stores they can offer actual knowledge of their products that the other stores cant. Their friendly staff can find products for you and help you with what you need them for. They also have a good selection of rental tools and party rental supplies

A fantastic, local alternative to H. Depot. In fact, I argue this is an even better shop! The sheer amount of lumber, tools, equipment, and power tools this store has available to buy and/or rent is nothing short of amazing. Staff are always able to assist if needed.

Fantastic warehouse, whether you are a homeowner or a contractor. The folks know their stuff, and are always going out of their way to answer any questions. If you are only used to big box hardware stores, you should give them a try at DMI. It is night and day.

Very helpful staff. They dont just walk you to an aisle and leave you on your own to find it -- they will actually talk to you about what youre trying to accomplish and make solid recommendations with advice on how to use the specific product.

Good stock, usually helpful sales people. Somewhat intimidating for a DIYer who doesnt know all the lingo. Some staff do not seem patient. It often feels likes a mans man place. (And Im a man.)

Lousy customer services and stingy...charged for extra day when equipment rental was a few minutes late. Suburban Hardware (Bryn Mawr) has superior service....avoid DMI if possible
