We would highly recommend Carl Alan. The entire team was fantastic to work with. Our venue had recommended Carl Alan and said that they are one of the more reasonable florists they work with, so we decided to check them out. Then we found out the best part. Carl Alan asked us to send them pictures of all the flowers and arrangements we like, and they ordered all of the flowers in the pictures we sent for our appointment. By the time we left our appointment, we had designed our centerpieces, bridesmaid bouquets and bridal bouquet and seen everything in person. Also, we live in Washington, DC, so we had limited time to meet with vendors, and Carl Alan agreed to meet with us on Christmas Eve – how’s that for dedication? We had a fixed idea of the maximum amount we wanted to spend, and we had met with a florist in the suburbs that didn’t understand our vision and didn’t think it would be possible to meet our budget. The appointment with the other florist involved putting dusty cloth flowers into a dirty cloth bowl… you might say it lacked vision. The team at Carl Alan worked with us to give suggestions on how to meet our budget and still have flowers that we would be very happy with, and the cost of the flowers came in under our budget. Cal Shaw, the owner, was amazing. As he said, it’s not how much money you can spend on flowers, it’s how much money you want to spend. His approach was very refreshing. On wedding day, the flowers were incredible. Everyone told us how amazing the room looked. We could not have been happier, and we would recommend Carl Alan to anyone getting married anywhere remotely close to the Philadelphia area. They are hands down the best florist you can find, and it’s not typical at all to find a florist that will order all the flowers you like just for an appointment.

I cant say enough great things about Carl Alan floral! I worked with Heather ( and tad bit with Vito) for my wedding, the level of service that she provided was amazing! I met with a few florists in the Philly area, as soon as I started talking with heather I knew this was the one! She was very knowledgeable about all flowers and overall decor! She seemed like she really cared to get to know me and my vision for my wedding day! Im still obsessed with my bouquet ! It was gorgeous! When I walked into my reception I was blown away how amazing everything looked! There was so much detail- it was Better than I ever imagined! It was exactly what I envisioned x100. I highly recommend working with Carl Alan and Heather for your wedding or event!!!!

A friend had recommended Carl Alan to me, and I was not disappointed. On our first visit we met with Carl and he and his staff worked to create exactly what we wanted right in front of us with real flowers ordered ahead of time--no pictures or guessing needed which was awesome because I do not know flowers. We were able to get bigger and better flowers than we ever thought wed be able to afford (and from what we had been told at several NJ florists for our budget). The staff and Carl were accommodating, creative, honest, and easy to work with and on the big day the flowers were very beautiful. I wish I was getting married again just so I could see what else they could create for me!

Im just the MOG; mother of the groom, but I am the local one and the wedding was in North Jersey. Vito was amazing from the minute we walked into the shop to have our initial talk. While there was a slight glitch in the bridal bouquet, Vito texted a picture to the bride and she called to have the corrections made, Vito did everything to make the brides vision come true despite it being a winter wedding and some of her choice of flowers just didnt come in great. Then the night of the wedding, James and Chris were amazing at setting up the entire venue. It just sparkled. Everyone remarked about how great everything looked Thank you to all! Carl Alan is the best!

Amazing! We worked with Vito to plan our wedding at Ballroom at the Ben. He was very enthusiastic, fun, and knowledgeable. We brought a few pictures of what we wanted to the initial meeting but did not have strong opinions or ideas. Fortunately, this was not a problem at all. Vito had incredible ideas and helped guide us towards developing our "vision". Ultimately, we put a lot of trust in Vito and were not disappointed! The bouquets were gorgeous and the Ballroom looked stunning. We truly enjoyed our meetings with Vito and the entire experience with Carl Alan Floral Designs. Thank you!

Beautiful! Carl Allen did the flowers for my wedding. The final product was amazing!!! We received complements from tons of guests. Prior to the wedding, we went to Carl Allen for a meeting. They had samples of lots of different flowers for us. We spent hours with the staff playing with the different flowers to assemble our actual bouquets and centerpieces. They were incredibly patient. We started over multiple times before we found the right combination. It was so rewarding to feel like we actually created all the flowers for our wedding.

This is a great flower shop run by conscientious and knowledgeable people. I called them to send some flowers to a family member staying at Hahnemann University Hospital for a few days following surgery. Told them that I didnt want to spend too much, just wanted something simple, bright, and fragrant. They came through perfectly with a tasteful arrangement of spray roses, delphinium, spider mums, liatris, and goldenrod. It was exactly what I wanted for a reasonable price, and my relative so loved how it cheered up the room.

Carl is amazing. Hes so honest, his staff so friendly, and he made up my wedding flowers right before my eyes!!! I got to see my bouquet and tweak it in real time, and the end result was EXACTLY what I wanted! If youre going to spend any money on flowers, you might as well book Carl and get exactly what you envision. I will not recommend anyone else in the Philadelphia region. And I am not rich!! He worked with my budget and its better than a dream!!

Exquisite! I ordered an arrangement to be delivered to a dear friend of mine, following a funeral of her grandfather. Apparently the flowers were so gorgeous that she called me (I live long-distance so could not attend) to thank me right away. She said that it was the most beautiful arrangement she has ever seen. Thank you to Carl Alan for putting so much love and care into this arrangement!

I went to Carl Alan to get an on-the-fly bouquet of flowers. Everyone was so nice here, including Carl, & the flowers I got were beautiful. Prices were very very reasonable & the service is wonderful! A bouquet from the florist I normally go to was nowhere near as nice as the one I got from Carl Alan. You will not be disappointed by this florist, best in the city!

Over priced and OK designs. Not worth the hype. I am not using this florist. I would not recommend this to anyone unless their floral budget is $20,000+. Anyone with an modest/average budget would probably not be happy with this florist.
