Pep Boys in Murrysville has knowledgeable and capable mechanics. I do much of my own work, but after installing struts, tie rods, CV axle and hubs I needed alignment work. I have had them do two cars in the last 3-months and I get a full report of the condition before adjustment, and final alignment. I have also had Pep Boys do State Inspections and oil changes with good results. The shop bases all work of standard rate guides and the price is fully quoted ahead of the work. They do the work, you pay, you get your car back and everything you asked for is done right. Im okay with that. Customer loyalty discounts are good and can reduce repair costs. They take appointments, so except for minor maintenance I leave the car with them for the day. If you wait for your car, they have a nice waiting area with HDTV, WIFI, free coffee and vending. They have always delivered the car in the time promised. This is not the Jiffy Lube or Valvoline Instant Oil Change, so allow time and adjust your expectations.

Have you ever taken your car to the shop, been quoted a price and then returned to pick up your car only to find the final cost was $60 LESS than you expected? No? Never? Well, this actually happened to me at the Murrysville Pep Boys shop. I initially spoke with Danielle, the manager, on the phone who quoted me a price for new tires, valve stems, installation, balancing & alignment, which was very reasonable (within $7 of the Tire Rack online price). Pep Boys performed the work and completed everything on time. I went in to pick up and noticed a discrepancy with the total cost. Danielle spent a few minutes recalculating and found an error which resulted in a $60 reduction in cost! There are three other local shops Ive dealt with in the past who have never, ever saved me any $$$ and consistently attempt to upsell me for un-needed services. In the future, I plan to avoid them and go directly to Pep Boys in Murrysville. Thank you, Pep Boys!

Stopped in for tire rotation and balancing at 1:35 PM and was told they could not get me in at all today. They were scheduled to be open until 7:00 pm. Went home and called in 10 minutes later at 1:45 pm and asked if they could get me in today for new tire purchase. No problem they had time in 75 minutes and were willing to schedule it. I would not trust anything their service advisor had to say. I guess they really do not want to service tire rotation and balancing.

Bought tires from them and paid a heavy installation price only to discover a few months later they had done a terrible job of mounting them as they became leaky. They hadnt bother to clean the corrosion on the wheel and had done a poor job balancing them. Disgraceful at the price I paid and as easy as it is to do. I ended up getting them installed properly at Golden Mile Tire and the car rides completely different/better.

Excellent service! We were traveling the interstate and had a flat. While we thought Wal-Mart would be the best bet because they opened early, we were wrong. They told us we had a 3 hour wait for one tire replacement. When we called Pep Boys they made sure they had a tire and we had directions, then got us right in! Fast and friendly. Highly recommend them!

Three months ago I went in for an alignment on my 04 tsx. My wife had bought it from a kid who lowered it. Well because it was lowered it needed special adjustable links to correctly adjust the alignment. It also needed front upper control arms. It took awhile but I eventually got back in. My car is driving much better now.
