I had contacted Monroeville Dodge about purchasing a 2014 Durango. The dealership did not have the have the model in stock that I wanted. They did a dealer search and located one for me. Due to the drive time of 1 hour, I was unable to make it to the dealership that evening to put down the required deposit in order for Monroeville Dodge to go an pick up the Durango from another dealer. The salesman, Chad Carpenter, said that I could give him my credit card info and fill out a credit application over the phone to cover the deposit and that they needed and would have it for me the next day. I was then contacted the next morning @ 9:30am while I was at work to let me know the vehicle was there and they wanted to finalize the deal. I explained that I was work and was unable to talk. Chad Carpenter and the sales manager Jeff Yates continued to call and pressure me throughout the day. During these calls we tried to negotiate the cost of the navigation system. Jeff offered free tanks of gas, oil changes, etc. Jeff stated that he could fill my gas tank for me, but couldnt take anything more of the cost of the navigation. Jeff stated by giving me free gas instead, that this could be hidden from his supervisors and would offset the cost of the navigation. I texted Chad when I finished work to find out what time they were open to. He replied 9pm. I then texted him back to see how long it would take to get the Durango ready for delivery. I was ignored and didnt receive any communication back for two hours. In the mean time, my wife and I decided to get leave for the dealership anyway to make sure we got there in time since we had a 90 minute drive. When we were 5 minutes away from the dealership, I received a text from Chad stating that they sold the vehicle that I had put down a deposit on. This vehicle was my supposed to be my wifes anniversary present. This is the reason car dealerships and car salesman have a bad rap. Its dealerships like Monroeville Dodge. Save yourself the headache go somewhere else. Look at the response from the dealership on the review, the same generic automated response to every other negative review they got. Best part is, they tell you to call the manager who is part of the problem. What a Joke !!!

Ok so I was in a situation where my truck had a bit of negative equity and I was looking to trade it in. I was instructed the best bet would be to check out newer vehicles with rebates to work against what I owed. So I was driving around and went into the Kia dealer next door. Not much they could do so I figured, what the heck, Ill go next door to dodge just out of curiosity. Wow, what a mistake. I was there for about 60 seconds and wish I wouldnt have even went. I was told by someone at Kia to speak with a man named Tom. I forget his last name. I found him out front with a few other fellows and said someone reffered me to him from Kia. I explained that I was a bit upside down on my loan and just wanted to see if I had any possible options. He quickly looked the truck over and said I probably shouldnt be in too bad of shape. Ok, feeling okay at this point. He asked what kind of vehicle I liked on the lot. Not what I WANTED but what I LIKED. I told him I dont know really. He said well we gotta know what were working with. I told him I was a fan of the new dodge rams but didnt think that was a realistic option. He perceeded to engage me in the cockiest and most disrespectful way possible. He said those trucks are almost 40 grand (which I knew already, hence telling him it didnt seem realistic) and told me the payments would be almost 600 dollars a month. "Can you swing that?" He asked me. I said probably not. He immediately told me to have a nice day and put his hand out for me to shake. Like I want to shake hands with a man like that. The conversation happened in a matter of 30 seconds before he told me to "have a nice day" and walked off. He didnt explain any help he could offer, knew NOTHING about my situation, who I was, and talke to me in a manner that was unacceptable, in front of my girlfriend no less. He acted like I was bothering him. I kept my mouth shut and didnt make a scene and promptly left. I had the manager on the phone before I even left the lot. I reported him and his behavior and the manager was told if I had an employee who acted like that, he would be gone fffffffffffffooththespot.

After a couple weeks of searching for a used car, my "financial advisors" & I decided on looking into a brand new vehicle. I wanted an SUV so I started an online search for good deals on brand new SUVs & came across Dodge Journeys at Monroeville Dodge on sale for $17,154 after all incentives. So, we decided to go check them out on 1/14/2017. Upon arriving there, immediately I was approached by Bruce Thatcher(hope I got his name right) & he welcomed me to Monroeville Dodge & asked how he can help me. I told him exactly what I saw online & exactly what I was looking for, that being a brand new 2017 Dodge Journey base model, the ones I saw online for sale. He immediately started showing me what they had in stock & discussing what options were available on the models they had left from their online sales price. I had told Bruce that I wanted a black, blue, or green Dodge Journey & wouldnt settle for any other color. He then explained to me how quickly they had sold out of almost every Journey that they had a special on, except for one green Journey. Decided to take one for a test drive. It was dark blue & really nice, but, it was priced at around $25,000. When asked the difference between the green Journey & the blue Journey, without hesitation, he immediately answered & told us they difference between them. So, we proceeded with the green Journey. Ive had it since that day & I do enjoy it, but, wish I couldve gotten one with at least a back up camera & a little more power from the engine. In the end, Bruce made my 1st experience with Monroeville Dodge an enjoyable one. It seemed like everyone we dealt with was really pleasant & trying to help get us the best deal possible & trying to help me stay within my set budget that I had set before I went there. Great job Monroeville Dodge team. Some day when I get my credit straightened out, Ill be back for another vehicle. I will recommend Monroeville Dodge to all my family, friends, & co-workers that are looking to purchase a new or used vehicle. Thanks again.

My husband and I visited the Monroeville Dodge dealership 10-18-12. We were attempting to purchase a Dodge Durango RT. We were initially working with a salesperson who was not aware of any of the policies regarding purchasing, leasing etc. So, we asked for a manger. The manager came out, and we discussed the price of the car. Initially, they had "ran" my husbands social security numbers about 45 minutes prior to the price discussion. We negotiated a price and they shook our hand (the price was $560-with $560 down). They announced that my husband and I had purchased a new Dodge Durango and were new owners of the truck over the intercom system. They started cleaning the my husbands car-along with my "our new car" I has to go and get my checkbook, and, within that 15-20 minute time period, they brought us in the room and reported that they were "having problems" and could no longer honer the price. The manager reported that it was his mistake and they "promised" that they would locate a 2013 Dodge Durango for the same price they quoted for the Dodge Durango 2012. I told them that this was very poor business practices. They reported that it was a mistake and they would "fix" it by tomorrow-both the finance manager and dealership manager reported that "you have our word" However, not to my surprise, no call back and when my husband went to the dealership they the manager said sorry and quoted a now ballooned price of 685. When we asked why they did not call ...the manager reported they were busy, but he thought someone called. This issue is related to the practices of the business and deceptive tactics--not the price of the car. The manager was dishonest and they failed to honor their agreement twice.
