Brit Fit

My bike did not sell at the annual bike sale. A few months later I was ready to try and sell it online but I dont know that much about bikes. I stopped by to see if they could give me some advice as to what information I should give in order to sell it. Also the tires were low on air and missing valve caps. Kinda of a strange request to ask a business to eval your bike and refill tires.(esp since your not really there to purchase anything). The gentlemen who helped me made me feel like it was no big deal at all. He came out to my car so I didnt have to take the bike off the rack. He gave me all the specs of my bike, refilled my tires and offered valve caps. I asked if I could give him something for the refill and valve caps but he said no. In a world where customer service seems to have faded away I was truly impressed and thankful.

Ive visited bike shops from Maine to Virginia. From the old time mom and pop shops where the fragrance of butyl rubber and grease fill the air to the boutique shops where they think admission should be charged just to look, Ive seem them all. For me Mountainside sets the standard for an LBS. Friendly staff, a succession of great wrenches, (Chris x 3, and Jonas). Mountainside has it all. Since moving here almost 30 years ago and purchasing my Litespeed Catalyst to my new Jamis Renegade, more bikes than Im willing to tell my wife, were from Mountainside. In fact I think most of my discretionary spending goes to them. Oh yeah, they also sell ski stuff, and are one of the few locals that still string tennis rackets.

by far the worst bike shop i have ever been too. they sales person made me feel like i was trying to steal the bike i was looking at. first and last time i will ever step foot in there store. i would rather walk then have anything given to me from them!!! then when i spoke to management they only said "shawn is a good sales rep". i went somewhere and bought a bike if you are looking for a great bike and people who care about what you are buying go to somewhere else!

Ive been shopping here since I was in high school and with good reason. Great friendly, knowledgeable staff who take the time to make sure you get exactly what you need and not simply what they want to sell you. Wont buy my ski equipment or bikes from anywhere or anyone else. They treat you like they really appreciate your business and not just your money. Highly recommended.

I visited this place multiple times and was never satisfied. I snowboard and was shopping for a new helmet, but the staff there werent very knowledgeable in snowboard gear. I go to the annual ski swap here, but thats it. Their prices are high.

Awesome swap meet every year! Better get to the swap meet 20 minutes before it starts if you want a chance at getting anything decent though, the line goes around the corner!
