Called and made an appointment for an eye exam. Told the receptionist that I would need my pd when I was done as I would be ordering glasses online. She told me it would be no problem. Exam was really fast... maybe almost too fast but... the doctor (whom I also informed I would be ordering glasses online) then told me to go to the other side of the store for my pd (where their showroom is) and lo and behold, the salesgirl refused to give me my pd distance!!! I asked them TWICE if they would give it to me and was told yes, just to be told no, its their company policy not to give it out. So I was lied to not once, but twice, by a doctor! Went back over to the side where they do the examinations and told them the salesgirl refused to give me my pd. They just shrugged their shoulders and said there was nothing they could do about it. This was in front of a waiting room full of people. I have never ever been lied to by anyone in the medical field like this. Next day called their main office in Newton NJ and spoke to a manager. He told me it was NJ STATE LAW not to release the pd as it is a liability. I told him I went to the Matamoras PA location and he said it was the same in PA as well. I called the NJ and PA consumer affairs department and spoke to the board of optometry and this is a complete lie. Its true they are not required to release it, but that does not excuse their employees and doctors from lying to their patients. I called the manager back to tell him this and he wouldnt let me get a word in edgewise. Completely rude and unprofessional. He also told me that no one else will give me my pd even though I have NEVER had a problem with this and have been wearing glasses for years. Absolutely pathetic customer service. Please, do not go here.

It had been a number of years since Id had my eyes checked. Alissa made my appointment and Desiree gave me the initial tests. Both young women were courteous and professional. My exam with Dr. Cervone was thorough and inclusive of tests regarding my vision. He, too, was thorough and professional. Sam and Ricky in the eyeglass area were both very helpful in the selection of my frames. Sam was the one who actually found the pair that suited me the best. There was another young man whose name I didnt catch but regardless, the entire staff was very helpful. I dont hesitate to recommend the Optical and Hearing Center in Matamoras to anyone who needs help with their vision.

I had made an appointment with a young woman named Tiffany. Went to sign in for it, even came early to fill out any necessary paperwork, only to be told that I had no appointment and no record of any appointment coming up. After I had said who I spoke with and the day I had called to make he appointment staff was still unapologetic and unaccommodating. I eventually just told the young woman that I would take my business elsewhere. Very disappointing to have this kind of experience before ever even meeting the doctor.

The Optical Center was a pleasure doing business with, Dr. Beth Berlin did a great job helping me, the staff was very professional. Ive visited this business many times over the past year & can say my overall experience was very, very positive. They really care about "YOU" Fast, efficient & reasonably priced ! Cant beat that ! Ken Smith

Horrible customer service. The employees barely treat you with any respect. They act like they have better things to be doing than working there. Ive been going here for years at the old location. Time to find a new doctor. Waste of my time!

Only 1 doctor and my appointment felt rushed and impersonal. My questions and concerns were rushed through and all of their paperwork is either incorrect or incomplete.

Doctor never even looked at my face...Somewhat arrogant but the nurse was nice. The guy who helped me pick out my glasses was helpful and nice to talk to .
