Customer Service is dead. We bought vital fresh pet food 3 days ago (the one from the fridge) and fed it to our puppy for a few days before noticing it looked funny. I checked the expiration date and it had expired over 3 months ago. Brought it back to the store, and the only thing the manager had to say was "do you have the receipt? I can only give you store credit." No apology, no nothing. She acted like it was no big deal, and when I pointed this out to her saying, " you had OVER 3 month old food/meat in your fridge and there is no apology. Your acting like its no big deal." She said nothing except give me a look of whatever. I then grabbed a new bag to replace it, she wrote out the return receipt with an attitude, and did not say one word to me. Even when I still managed to say thank you when she handed me the receipt. Not shopping here again.

I was going to complain about one associate walking around seemingly shoving me out of his way, no excuse me or sorry. I then realize the entire store is full of ignorant people. No people near the fish section, except for the guy I mentioned earlier, meaning no help at all. When I went to checkout I had to wait nearly 5 minutes to be rung up, even while there were two other associates standing in plain view of me. They glanced over a few times before a cashier came to ring me up. Too bad she was just like the rest. It seems I was bothering her to be there, she offered me no bag for my plants, no have a good day, no facade of caring. The only thing giving this store two stars is the selection available, and even then, if the 3 month expired dog food story is true, is stretching it. Just imagine if they had competent managers.

Do NOT go here for nail trims! I brought my dog a couple months ago and the lady cut every quick.My dog looked like he was in so much pain when we were in the car and now has SEVERE fear of nail trims. This is a very slow process of trying to get him to trust someone touching his paws again because of this horrific experience. They just want to ge the job done and leave your dog totally messed up because of it.

We bring our dog in every two months for a spa day. He loves the groomers here and they totally groove on Big Charlie when he gets there. The cut and nail dremmel comes out good, and as regulars, they know we love for him to smell like sugar cookie. It is Petco, so cost wise you could probably do better, but the groomers are too great here not to recommend highly!

I was in there a few weeks ago and watch a groomer slap a Maltese across the face. I never get any help. Employees are not knowledgeable about store or pets. I also get emails of sales and events. When I go to the store the sales are lies and events are not happening.

I have a Chinchilla, its hard to find fresh food for him. Every time I get his food from here he eats it no problem. Were also looking into getting fish. My family and I were looking around in the fish area, its well kept everything looks healthy.

horrible grooming experience. They took 5 hours to do a simple wash and my dog came out smelling like a floor mop with long claws.. iv been going to petco and petsmart grooming for many years. This particular location is definitely one to avoid.

Smelly, like the cages havent been cleaned, dim and dark b/c lights are half burnt out, dead bugs in the empty cages, poor animals with fur and feathers ripped out!.....I love shopping at Petco but this location was horrible!

Guys go to Petco or PetValu over Pets smart. Just be aware this staff isnt always the quickest but will get you what you need. I been going here for a while and a 5 second check usually takes a lot longer.

They run affordable vaccination clinics for cats and dogs. Staff are generally helpful and friendly. Prices arent bad and selection is decent. All things considered, its a good store.

Got my two parakeets for the first time in my life and the staff were like my teachers and have a full knowledge on the animals. Any my parakeets names are Gucci and bandana
