This is the worst Whole Foods store I have ever shopped at. The people in the cheese department are not helpful at all. They never offer help and when you ask them something its obvious they dont know anything about cheese. The store recently remodeled and the produce area is now this huge cavernous place where you have to walk in circles to find what youre looking for. Terrible layout and a HUGE waste of space. I get the feeling that neither the staff nor the management knows much about food. I asked for orzo once and no one knew what I was talking about. There have been other products I have asked for and all I got were blank stares - like Ponzu, tomatillos, etc.. I am used to shopping in WF stores that have much more interesting product - like large varieties of peppers and mushrooms, large selections of imported and domestic cheese, great grab-and-go sandwiches and salads, salad greens, crudite and fruit platters beautiful and ready to take to a party. I wouldnt even buy a crudite from this place much less take it to a friends house! Theyre frequently out of items. Last Saturday I went in for a baguette and they were OUT - 5PM on a Saturday and no baguettes - and very few other options. I wanted Philadelphia Cream Cheese - I mean we are in Philadelphia, right?! The ONLY cream cheese they had was their own brand. Since WF has decided to pick and choose which non-organic items they will sell, you would think they would choose Philly based items for this store. I used to buy Goya products, especially dried beans, and they stopped carrying them. Their bulk beans are nowhere near as good as Goya. I will drive the extra miles to Fresh Market, the co-op in Elkins Park, or the Whole Foods in Plymouth Meeting because the WF in Jenkintown is the pits.

I really hope that Whole Foods will take to heart the issues being pointed out in these reviews. I like WF, and I love that it is nearby, but there are some improvements needed. My main problem is that they always, always run out of items, which means that I have to make a few trips in one week, just to get one or two things that they did not have on my regular shopping day. What really upset me was, as I was waiting for one of the workers to finish with helping another customer who was trying to find shampoos with the most natural ingredients, the worker helped herself to some lotion. She reached over and squirted lotion in her hands from a bottle on the shelf for sale. And she left it there. Isnt that cheating the customer who will come in and purchase that bottle? And she felt comfortable doing it in front of other customers. On the flip side, I like that they have the disinfectant cloths at the door. Their cooked food section is okay, the food is good. Most of the employees are helpful and courteous, with the exception of one or two and the prices are good on certain things. I am glad that they now have a courteous card, and I like their website.

I used to love this place but obviously it has become the worse. First of one of the managers talked so rude to my niece a little 2 years old girl playing around in the eating area. I have seen her argue with other customers too. Once the police was called on her. The food is degrading. I have seen mice running around disgusting. Flies all over the buffet area . I talked to an employee about this and all she said was “ok”. Once my mother (who is a disabled woman) wrote the wrong item number by mistake for the beans, one of the employees embarrassed her in front of all. She requested for him to speak to me and he refused. We are three families that shop at that location. We spend approximately 4, 000 per month on groceries. All of us will never return to that location. The staff is so rude and unprofessional.

Flies sitting on top of ALL bread loaves that are out in the open, I have been coming to this whole foods location for over 1 year now, 3 time a week and every time flies were there, sitting on top of bread, I addressed the issue to the staff in the bakery department, and the store manager and it does not look like anyone is addressing the issue. Its a shame that they can not put up something enclosed for the bread. Yes people those flies sit on dog feces (flies are very attracted to dog feces) and cow manure (from a farm near by) then they come and sit on the bread you buy there and eat.

Ive been a Whole Foods shopper for years (when it was still Fresh Fields). Ive shopped in a number of locations - in Baltimore (still the gold standard), Albuquerque, and now the one in Jenkintown. The last one was very disappointing. It carries all of the great products that the other ones do, but I found the staff to be rather unfriendly. I may not dress the part, but I tend to spend quite a bit of money when I shop - perhaps if I wore designer clothing in there Id get treated a little more respectfully. I think, instead, that Ill take my business across the bridge to Wegmans.

This location has a better selection of vegetarian and vegan food than some others. The employees are so nice..one girl was restocking bread when a woman asked her a question and she went to help her. Then she went back to work right before I interrupted to ask her a question and she was still so cheerful and went out of her way to help me get my answer. It would be hard to find this quality and level of service elsewhere.

Not sanitary! Pizza stand does not wear gloves when handling pizza, making pizza or putting pizza dough in bags to sell on shelf, observed this incident myself and with others more than once while sweat was wiped with hands than pizza was handled to customers. ALSO observed big flies sitting on pizza slices that are on display, numeral times. I dont get how they pass health inspections.

Whole Foods always has delicious organic food at great prices! The cafe is very nice and has a wide variety of great foods to choose from. There are always people giving out free samples at the ends of aisles, and its different every day. There is a fresh squeezed orange juice machine which is pretty cool to watch. This is a great place for all of your healthy food needs.

Excellent store. Helpful staff. Great selection. Only expensive if youre not committed to the kind of diet that Whole Foods caters to, i.e. humanely raised animal products, organic food, lunch meats without preservatives, etc. In spite of that, some items are less expensive than generic stores. I shop a combination of WF and generic stores.

This store is OK. Not terrible but most certainly not my favorite either. Theyve got a decent selection of products. The main issue I have is that the majority of customers here are rude and act like they own the place. Its hard to shop when everyone is trying to run you over with their shopping cart. The burger station is on point tho!

btw my 2 friends and I saw a mouse run by under the grocery table when we walked in. We said to the employees that there is a mouse but they had the most confused looks on their faces and did nothing about it. Obviously whole foods likes to hire idiots. Doubt ill be going here again. I dont like MICE where i eat.
