This was an absolutely ridiculous and awful experience. As everyone in Plumstead knows this store is very busy on Sundays. This does not excuse the staff for the type of customer experience that was provided. The self checkout was very busy and every station was occupied. It seems the only reason a Giant employee is there is to prevent theft and not offer help to customers. We were trying to purchase seasoning in which the McCormick brand was not coming up in their system. The male associate stated he would try to manually put it in and we can continue scanning our other groceries. The next minute we look over the male associate has been replaced by a female, who has no knowledge of the situation. She tries to manually put in the product without any success and offering us no other solution. At this point the bag of fried chicken that we got from the deli must be getting cold, and that would also not scan. The employee states that customer service is very busy and it will be a while before they can assist us, and we can go over there if we want. She also asked us if "we really need" the items... At this point I went and grabbed a different brand of seasoning that was not part of the promotion. I paid for my order and left as quick as possible to avoid any further aggravation. One can only be apologized to so many times before there is a lack of sincerity. Lastly, there were two associates behind the customer service desk assisting one customer.

Yipes, definitely showing its age. (For those who dont know, this store was originally a Clemens Food Market, a local chain in Pennsylvania in the late 80s to 90s.) Store hasnt changed. Shelves and carts are rusting. Prices are high-- yet they have the audacity to put a "Beat Acme" poster up near the deli, when (I always use this as a comparison, as its the thing most supermarkets have on sale) Soda at this Giant (Along with others in the county) are $6.49 each, or 2/$10, when Acme has it 5/$10-- a major price difference if you ask me. Deli department is filthy, floor was full of meat shavings last time-- as if it was the A&P in Clinton, New Jersey! The photo I have attached is from that A&P. Giant should close this store, or at least renovate it, in a few years, this store is going to be smelly, filthy, and high-priced, with Rite Aid moving out of the center, and relocating to a solo property.

This market is too small for the community. It was expanded once, but the proliferation of in-aisle displays have made the aisles even less navigable when the store is moderately busy. Recently, the salad bar was removed to reconfigure the produce area. Generally, the produce select is good however this store cannot compete with the growing availability of prepared meals the larger stores now. So, gets the job done, the selection is fair but the store is outdated and small by todays standards.

Poor Customer Service. The store manager. (Dianna ?) She is rude and often unapproachable and short with response. I will avoid her at all cost. Products run out quite often. The displays placed in the isles are always in the way and make it hard to move up and down the isle. The cashiers are usually friendly but many of the baggers are not trained well. More times than I can count they will always place bread in with heavy bottles of soda. (this should be common sense)

There are some nice, friendly employees here, but the store is not well managed, stocked or organized. The everything bagels in the bakery should be be named nothing since there is barely anything on there. There are some other major quality issues with pricing and product accuracy as well. Worth the 10 minute drive to the Doylestown Giant which is not much better, but better enough.

The removal of the salad bar was a bad choice. Also, most if not all of the food items on the hot buffet do not offer healthy choices. The staff who work in the deli are often rude, and hold personal conversations amongst themselves while waiting on guests. On the contrary, the cashiers and customer service personnel are very friendly.

Big sign at the registers reads that if you are 4th in line your groceries are free. Well, we had about 6 to 8 in line before they opened more. Dont think that the lady who was 4th got free groceries. This was at Gisnt in Plumsteadville around 9 a.m. False advertising? ????

Nice store, friendly staff. The only issue is that its a small store, with little storage, so popular products are often sold out during heavy shopping times (weekends, holidays, etc).

Overall a good selection and value for your money. Management should keep an eye on their produce, however...

Small store for a Giant, but it is greatly made up for by their great staff, and greater customer service.
