I called to ask the price of a marker light for my car. I was there last week and they were "on order". I went again this week and they were still "on order". I called today to keep from wasting gas driving all the way out there. The female who answered was having a ghetto-fied conversation with someone as she picked up the phone to ask me what I wanted. I asked for the automotive department - twice (she didnt understand "automotive", so I said where they sell the car parts). I was on hold for 15 minutes, 44 seconds, before another female with a Latina accent came on the phone to tell me they were out to lunch and to call back (at six or in 15 minutes, I couldnt quite understand her). I waited and called back again 20 minutes later, and the phone was busy. I kept trying for 5 minutes, and continued to get a busy signal. The store aisles are always cluttered with boxes or carts of merchandise to be restocked, shelves are in disarray and the parking lot is constantly dirty and litter-filled. However, the produce and deli sections are usually always clean. I guess since they dont pay fair wages and benefits, they cant hire the type of staff that is attentive to the customer (at least cordial, with a manager on hand to handle customer concerns, not inconvenienced us by "calling back"). It is a shame that customer service has gone out the window in exchange for these big-box no class retailers, that strip our communities of mom and pop stores and flood our markets with this imported substandard crap. Most of the time, what I am looking for Wal-Mart doesnt carry or its not in stock. By the way, I did get my marker light - I called Advanced Auto, where an articulate young man courteously found my light and placed it at the counter for me to pick up. It cost $1.50 more than Wal-Mart, but you cant put a price on good old fashioned service.

Bought an expired product and didnt realize it until I got home. Called the store to let them know. Also asked if they had any that hadnt expired, because if so I would have liked to go back and exchange. Was put on hold. After a while the woman came back on and asked what the product was, then transferred me to the meat department. No one answered. Same woman answered again, transferred me to a different department. They picked up the phone, then transferred me back to the meat department. Once again no one picked up. During this time Id put away all my groceries. After the third time being transferred to the meat department I grabbed the product, drove all the way back to the store, walked to the meat section myself, and verified that every single one of the type of product I was looking for was expired. Because none of the employees at Walmart could handle this daunting task. At this point I went to customer service and requested a refund and to speak to a manager. I told her that her store was selling an entire brand of expired meat product (since she didnt seem to know). Then I went to Weis across the street to purchase a similar product that was NOT expired. If you buy from here, check EVERYTHING for expiration dates. As other reviews have said, customer service is horrible. Do not bother calling in, just go in person.

I just just stoped by 6535 Gryson Rd, Harrisburg,PA Walmart store to take US pasport sized photo according to the USCIS instruction and tried to tell and show the instruction to the photo shop department. She said she can do take my photo but not to follow the desired USCIS instruction. I lead to the customer service and asked them about the issue. The customer service employe told me the same thing. In addition "we take photos and we have 100% return guarantee" she re-assured me. I am applying for citizenship I need the desired photo for but not to take and bring it back for refund. Its a legal and lengthened process if it started once. Its not buying tomato and returning back to the store for the reason of expiration date. No more to say but I am not happy to give rating even 1 star. I could give negative 20 stares if it is possible. I will not come back any more to any walmart stores. Done and thanks!

I USED to get my prescriptions filled at this Wal-Mart (Grayson Rd, Harrisburg) but no more. They are so slow and so rude there. I never get a smile or an offer to explain how the medication should be taken, answer questions etc. (Not that I would trust what they tell me anyway) The last time I went there I was told that my insurance would not pay for the refilll until the following day (this is after ordering the refill successfully the day prior over the phone). They did not provide any reason why my insurance would not pay that day, nor did they offer any suggestions at all. In fact, when I expressed my confusion the woman got very confrontational and made me feel like an a**hole! This entire Wal-Mart sucks (even after the remodel) I always have bad experiences here and always try to avoid going. But the pharmacy is especially bad!!

I am a cook on a railroad gang parked directly behind this Walmart...I cook for 68 men...I have to go to this Walmart daily Sunday thru Thursday. The shelves are never stocked, especially bread and eggs..never....Then there are normally only 2/3 cashiers on their registers...so therefore the lines are unbearable. People are Always in line cussing and complaining about the same things...and you Never can find anyone to assist you.I have went thru that store for hours and never see an employee other than the ones overseeing the self checkout center...only good thing about that store is the numerous self checkout registers....worst Walmart ever dealt with...Like i said, I travel the whole eat coasy...The past two months dealing with this store has been hell!

This Walmart is so run down. The staff are not very friendly here. And electronics department are not very knowledgeable. You can tell them exactly what you are looking for and they either dont understand, dont know where it is or just dont feel like helping. That is another thing, many of the staff are so lazy, they dont want to help you. You can ask if they have something in the back and they tell you what they have is out. But ask a Manager and depending on who the manager is they may go look for you and find it. The Managers are lazy too. This whole store needs to get better. Dont go here unless you need something quick. Go to Carlisle Pike or Camp Hill if you need to go to Walmart. They are usually more helpful.

Use to shop at Walmart a lot, since Target has come to my area i always shop there. Walmart has the worst possible staff in the world, they are horrible to everyone. They dont care about anyone and the only way you tell they work there is they have a name tag. 100% satisfaction my butt. Id prefer to spend twice as much someplace else and get much better service then ever shop at walmart again. Target always has friendly nice people, Target carries just about everything and sometimes more then Walmart. GO TO TARGET! Even Weis is better if you need food. Lines are all over the store all hours of the day, slow employees and hardly any registers open.
