Joe, the owner of Press Start Games, started off at Game Crazy as the manager. I stopped going anywhere else after I saw how he ran his store. If I am correct that location of Game Crazy did better than most of the region combined and thats in our little town of Hanover so thats saying something! Now that Hollywood video has crumbled into a pile of dust and closed that location of Game Crazy Joe has taken the initiative to start a new business. What I always liked about him and his staff was there personality, helpfulness, and superior gaming knowledge! Along with most of his old staff Joe has brought these ideals to the new location. The difference is now he can offer EVEN BETTER service than before! Game Crazy and most other chains are plagued by long wait times! Not so with Press Start Games. They no longer are forced to try and upsell you a million times while you are trying to check out! They keep you updated and informed about new releases and sales WITHOUT making you feel like you have to buy something else just to get them to shut up! The best thing about Press Start Games is the Try Before you buy! They have no problem unwrapping a brand new release so you can try it out! They are all gamers so they know what its like to take home a game you hate! They are all about making sure you are happy with you purchases! It is such a refreshing feeling to see the best of both worlds come together in this store! You have the vast selection and low prices that the "big guys" offer while also maintaining the personality and friendliness of the small business! A nice bonus to the new location is their neighbor, Blue Koi (the best Asian Cuisine in Pennsylvania). Be sure to check them out as well! Great Job Joe! I wont take my money anywhere else! Not that I would need to anyway! Ill be seeing you guys today to pick up my copy of Force Unleashed 2!

Found out about this place by accident. I am a big fan of privately owned used game stores so it was very pleasant mistake. The stock here is pretty decent, although when it comes to some retro consoles their stock is nothing short or pathetic. 5 Dreamcast games in the entire store and not a single Saturn title to speak of. In addition, the prices on many of the older games is not good at all. Ive found a better selection and better prices at a pawn shop only a few miles away. The biggest advice I can give is if youre thinking of trading in some of your older games (even the classics) here - Dont. The prices I was offered for some of my rare PS1 and older titles was a smack in the face. Just to test the waters here I brought 3 choice titles for trade in that I had priced at a different store farther away and they offered me $7.00 trade-in as opposed to the $84.00 the other store offered. Press Start is still a great store to have in the area for the true gamer and retro fan but perhaps they are just a bit too small for the collector of truly rare and coveted titles.

Heard about it when it first opened, so I decided to head up and have a look. The staff is extremely friendly, and the manager, Joe, is very knowledgeable about the games he sells and the market as a whole. The folks there never pressure you to buy stuff, but will gladly help you if you get stuck. They also give you more bang for your buck with more money for trade ins and less on the big-name games (as well as some classics). I managed to trade in some old Xbox 360 games and got an N64 in the process. You wont find deals like you will a Press Start, thats for sure!

The is by far the best place to buy video games and systems. And besides that, these people know everything about games. I went there unsure as to what game i was going to buy. A man working there talked with me for about 30 minutes, telling me about every single wii game i asked. He was incredibly knowledgeable and finally recommended a game for me, based on what i told him i was looking for. Well, needless to say, he was right on the money. I am amazed. Its a shame all business arent run with such professionalism. Outstanding.

This place could not be run by a better guy. I will never buy games from the morons at LameStop again. Press Start has the better prices on used games and higher trade-in values. Invest in their store card and save even more! Joe and his friendly and knowledgable staff will work with you to reserve or repair your games, or even rent cables that you only need once in order to save you the money youd spend on buying them outright. I totally recommend this place!

I saw the sign as I was driving through the area this morning and stopped in to have a look. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and bright everything was along with the friendly welcoming I got when I walked in. I didnt feel pressured to buy anything, but was informed about the scope of what the store carries and specializes in. They carry both current and old school games which is a big plus in my book. You wont see NES cartridges at Gamestop!

Weve had 2 birthday parties there that were awesome. You can beat 2 hours worth of gaming on any platform and games you choose plus pizza and soda for $70. Theyve also been extremely helpful and are very knowledgeable about upcoming games and system info. Joe and his team are terrific!

Didnt feel like driving across town for Game Stop so I stopped in here for the first time and I am glad I did! Great selection of games and a great staff. They even had this odd Xbox game my friend was looking for. I defiantly will be back and I recommend all stop here first!

I dont know what all the Pokemon spam reviews are about, but this place is fine. I mean, I didnt fall in love with the place but its a nice mom and pop shop for video games. Much rather go here than any Gamestop. They sell at or around FMV for most their titles.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I found that prices were low and consistent with other vendors. Trade in prices are acceptable, given the current market value for traded in games. Support a local business. I highly recommend Press Start Games!

Place is awful, they never have anything in stock and they are terrible with preorders. I dont recommend this store to anyone. Yeah they have good prices but what good is prices if they never have popular games in stock?
