My only problem with this place is that I didnt know about it sooner. I had heard about them when they were at their former location- everyone raved about the roasted peanuts. Since it was out of the way and I hadnt heard anything about the coffee, I never stopped by. After I noticed they moved to the Effort House, I had to stop in- if nothing else it was a great excuse to check out a historic building that always piqued my interest. I am so glad that I did! The owner Morghans personality comes to life in this old house. Its classic simplicity with a bit of rebel edge- kind of like my favorite coffee blend. She is helpful and knowledgeable, without being overbearing. The coffee is amazing and the prices are great. By splurging on quality beans that I can brew at home, I easily save $75/month by not hitting up the drive thru every day. Note: They do not serve coffee by the cup. Yes, its sad, but totally reasonable. This is a family run business that wouldnt have the time to roast such a high-quality product if they were having to decipher "venti" and meaningless terms like "extra". Pick up a coffee pot and treat yourself to an amazing cup at home in your jammies.

We bought some Amoretto flavored beans from this company, as we like that particular flavor. This batch however tasted like used motor oil, and we threw out the entire batch. A few weeks later, we stopped by to get some other beans, and mentioned our opinion of the Amoretto. The owner was very rude to us, did not offer to replace the beans, and could only say that their products were perfect. My wife posted a comment on Facebook about the lack of customer service, but did not mention the store name or owner. Later, the owner herself started dissing my wife on Facebook, which started a long conversation. I will never go back or buy anything from them again.

I love this cute little shop in a historic hotel. Its very organized and they have a ton of delish coffee flavors. They have a sample wall with a few ounces of ground coffee in little bags. The banana nut was big hit and I really liked the brandy blackberry. I also got the apple cider donut flavor but I havent tried it yet! The owner of the place, Morghan is super nice and super sweet! She was cool and personable and even showed us her awesome photo with Johnny Depp and Joe Perry. Best of luck to you, dear! I will definitely be back when I am in the area.

Ive been getting my coffee from Morgan Rake for a couple years. Her fresh-roased beans are always so much better than anything Ive found at the big-box stores. The price is very reasonable - I find that Im getting a better quality coffee and paying the same as I would for a high-end brand at the grocery store. The new locations is fantastic and always smells great (though Id expect nothing less from a coffee roaster). Its great to be able to pay a fair price, get a great product, and support a local small business all at once!

Order to go, food smears on the outside of the plate made it a little messy. Male bathroom, needs a new wax donut because the urine leaks out the bottom of the toilet where it attached to the floor. Lyme buildup in between the floor tiles from lack of mopping. Many tables, still had garbage on them, used drink cups or not wiped. Staff moody. Main door to leave sticks and I had to really push in order to leave. Place seems to be going downhill. I eat here about 6 times a year.

I have been getting my coffee here for a couple years now. I have tried all the different manufactures coffees and nothing compares to the fresh roasted beans at this establishment. Price is insanely cheap for the quality and the owner is extremely knowledgeable about the business. A large selection of both teas and coffees with a wonderful historic site. Check this place out you wont be sorry.

As a first time customer and local this is the best place to grab coffee. Thanks to all the information and history behind Morgans I made the best cold brew Ive ever made. I highly recommend this to all my friends or anyone who is looking to step away from your Dunkin, Starbucks, or Folgers. Thank you so much Morghans! Ill be back soon for more beans!

The woman who was operating the store, presumably the owner, was very kind and laid back! She was very attentive to us and generally wonderful. I know at least five people who buys her peanuts regularly and are yet to be disappointed! I bought two teas along with some lotions my first time there and her teas were absolutely delicious!

The owner is so nice and personable. I asked for some suggestions when I was there and now I just tried the"Jamaican me crazy" that she suggested. Its possibly the best coffee Ive ever had. Its flavored, but the flavor isnt overbearing. Its just right. Im excited to try the Nicaragua next and Im sure Ill be back for more!

My husband, his mom, and his coworker love the coffee from here along with the peanuts. My husband and I are always picking up peanut, coffee, and cholocate cover coffee beans for the people at his job. I dont like drinking coffee but I love the smell of their coffee house.
