Incredible ! Not to be missed ! One of the best kayak shops in the known universe. Have bought 3 kayaks from Brad and many pieces of accessory gear and he has NEVER steered me wrong. Ive been there on days when there were peeps whod travelled from CLEVELAND and Pittsburgh to see this shop and Brad. If you are a kayaker, you NEED to make a pilgrimage to Starrkmoon. Its ON the MIghty Susquehanna so you can take out boats right there. Brad accepts many used boats in trade. We drove almost an hour to visit Starrk Moon Kayaks. We were looking to purchase two new kayaks and a new paddle for a kayak we already owned. The representative of this company told us that the kayaks we already owned were junk, and that he would never kayak with us. It was rude and unprofessional. We are family kayakers and do not desire or have any need for extreme or expensive kayaks, (nor do we desire to kayak with him). We were however willing to spend good money on moderate kayaks, but we took our business elsewhere.

The owner was far more concerned with bad mouthing everything that was not Starrkmoon Kayaks or a brand carried by them than actually talking about his boats. Calling another well-known and respected outfitter nothing but a "clothing store" is not the way to get my business, nor is calling the boat I currently own garbage. Shame that he is the only Pyranha dealer in the area. I do like the Fusion, but refuse to do business with Starrkmoon. I just ordered a boat from the "clothing store

Eccentric old man that runs the place and it is out in the woods and very different than probably anywhere else you would go to buy a kayak, but Brad knows kayaking and kayaks very well!! He will bad mouth other brands, but he is being honest. I bought 2 kayaks from him and have friends who have bought multiple kayaks from him. I love the Venture kayaks I got from there. Excellent quality and a good price fort how awesome these kayaks are. I highly recommend this kayak shop!!

On 3 occasions within recent years, I bought a P&H kayak from Brad. With each occurrence the deal has been unbeatable ($). His willingness to help with answers, and even allow a fit check to see how the kayak "performed", were appreciated. No where else would consider doing such! Also bought paddling gear from Brad where again, he helped to point me to the right PFD, paddle, and other items needed.

After about a year shopping for kayaks, we purchased two Venture Islays from Starrkmoon. The Ventures simply suited us better than the Daggers or Jacksons. The price was fair and with no fuss. The service, though a little disorganized, was actually very good. And if you want one mans opinion, he will give it to you.

Tiny little shop but it is crammed full of boats. Great prices and service. Im lucky to live 10 minutes away from what some people drive 4 hours or more to get to. Amazes me the shear number of boats he moves through this shop.
