Purchased an LG washer and dryer. Great sale price with free delivery, installation and haul-away of old appliances included. Sales person was friendly and transaction completed efficiently. Numerous issues with installation that we are still attempting to resolve so I have been unable to use the machine. Home Depot has been attempting to mediate with the delivery/installation service. At this point, a 6-8 day return visit for repairs is likely. Issues: (1) Sales clerk stated we needed to purchase flexible hosing for venting the dryer. At installation, installers stated they are unable to use flexible hosing. We already had rigid hosing which was in good shape so the installation was completed with our rigid hosing. (2) Prior to attempting to use the machine, my husband and I reviewed the installation checklist and found numerous problems: (a) the elbow bracket for securing the drain hose was not installed nor was it left for our use; instructions state that "the drain hose installed in standpipe without the elbow bracket and a snug fit could occur siphonage during operation." (b) the drain hose was inserted approximately 22 inches down the standpipe; instructions state "if the drain hose is extended more than 4 inches beyond the end of the end of the elbow bracket, mold, or microorganisms could spread to the inside of the washer. (c) the non-skid pads were neither installed nor left for our future use if vibration of the machine were to become an issue or in the event we moved; (d) the caps for covering the shipping bolt holes were neither installed nor left for our use; the caps are provided to reduce operating noise but I would also want them to prevent lint and dust from settling into operational components (e) the lock nut on the leg used to level the machine was not tightened. On the positive side, the delivery personnel were prompt, courteous and careful in moving the machines in and out. They just dont appear to be well trained in installation. The issues noted above are exactly what consumers tend to have problems with when they purchase a front-loading washer. SUGGESTION: Always check your installation carefully using the manufacturers checklist.

For the second time in six months, I have had serious problems getting Home Depot to issue me a refund on returned merchandise. The first time it was for an item damaged in delivery. They insisted on double charging me before they would issue a replacement, and still hadnt credited me back for the damaged item THREE MONTHS after they had received it back in their warehouse. I eventually got my money back, but only after two Home Depot employees implied it was my own fault for not following up sooner. This time it was over a cancelled purchase, and they refused to issue an electronic credit to my card unless I stopped by in person. I explained that it was not convenient for me, but I would eventually get down there. That didnt stop them from leaving me three or four phone messages every week for three weeks. The last call I received from them was so abusive I hung up on the woman - and she called me back because she wasnt through yelling at me yet! I am rearranging my day tomorrow so I can go down there to get my refund because it is clear that they mean to harass me until I do. But this will be the last time I ever set foot in a Home Depot store.

They always seemed short staffed. However, they do know what their doing, for the most part. Its not called Contractor/Construction depot. If you go in with the knowledge to build a house, dont expect them to know how to build a house. They know how to fix up your from the side and some parts of the outside. They make very general suggestions, which is what is to be expected. Overall great place to shop for fixer upper homes or if you plan to renovate.

The Absolute most worthless employees out of any store I have ever been to. They all just stand around talking to each other rather than helping the shopper. I had to use the self checkout with a cart full of stuff while the girl stood there and text messaged on her phone. Then have me a nasty look when asked a question. It's been like this for years. Go to lowes.

Went to Home Depot in Carlisle, Pa. Wanted to buy a dishwasher that was on sale. They didnt have it in stock (a sale item) I was told by the clerk they could have one delivered to my home or the store in 7 days for an additional $59.00. I walked out and went to Lowes. They have dishwashers in stock. Brought one home and its running in my kitchen now, not in 7 days.

Every time I go into this place, Carlisle,PA. Some dumb thing happens. 4-26-2016, I go buy a sheet of mdf. I had it almost loaded in my car, propped up on the tail gate. A guy comes out, pulls it off the tail gate... sits the board on my foot then leans on it. Everything I would do he would push pull in the wrong direction. That store is full of clowns.
