Please read this review within the context of my profile. A wonderful place to visit, I always try to get to Title Page when I am in Philadelphia, if for no other reason than I can count on overhearing some refreshing opinions in one of the many lighthearted exchanges between the owners and one customer or another. Title Page consists of one very large room of long high stacks. Books cover a broad range of topics and there is always fresh stock. The far stack (unlit, but flashlights are available on request for the faint of heart) has the older/rarer books. Pricing is very fair for the most part and in the main stacks there are many very affordable books. I do suspect that some of the more expensive volumes have been there for a few years. Perhaps the owners like them so much they prefer them to stay on the shelves or more likely, as a relative novice, I dont completely understand the dynamics of the business. Visit and enjoy.

Located in front of an abandoned Boarders (there’s a lesson somewhere), The Title Page is one of the best used bookstores around Philadelphia. Owner Beverly Potter survived a water main break which flooded her store last summer and has the place up and running at full capacity. Although she lost a lot of her stock, the majority survives. The store is packed with first editions, quality fiction, and paperback genres. I didn’t get a chance to explore all of it when I visited, but it’s one of the best organized bookstores I have ever encountered. This is the place where I found all three Quatermass Penguin editions. You could do a lot worse than spending an afternoon browsing through the selections.

What a fantastic shop. Here you find readable volumes that are ordinary, an excellent array of affordable an interesting books, and off-the-chart rare finds all in one place. Mrs. Potter, the proprietor, is smart as a whip and a joy to converse with on matters literary. Dont hesitate: go! (Full disclosure: shes my Mom, so I know better than anyone how brilliant she is. I grew up in her shop!)

Cool bookstore with the friendliest staff. There is a wide range of books in all genres, ranging in price from a few dollars to hundreds. Worth a visit.
