I moved away from Portland years ago to LA and down in LA we have huge Asian markets filled with junk. plus most of the employee that does not know anything but Spanish. Every time I go to Portland I have to stop by Lily Market. At Lily Market the store is set up for easy axis to all you need for a south east Asian meal. The business is all family own and operated and all of the family can give you good cooking tips to make your favorite South East Asian Meals. If you are too lazy you can check out their Hot Deli to take out or eat at their cute dining area. I would call it a boutique market. It is very cozy and inviting with very friendly staff.

The owner is very friendly. Its mostly Thai, but I buy Japanese and Korean ingredients here as well. Im vegetarian and the deli most definitely isnt so Ive only ordered drinks, which have all been great. My only complaint is that some of the produce is wrapped in plastic on a styrofoam tray which isnt very environmentally friendly. The stock Asian grocery items here are way cheaper than a commercial store (baby corn, water chestnuts, bamboo, etc). They also have kitchen items, which I havent looked closely at.

An Asian grocery store should have sliced frozen meat, veggies I cant find at Fred Meyer, some cookware, and great prices. This is my favorite store in the Portland area for that. Other stores sometimes feel like a gift shop or tourist attraction and charge high prices. Although it leans Thai, Ive found a few rare Chinese mainstays in my kitchen here (pork sung, chili radishes, dried anchovies). Also its a great place to buy eggs. Id go more often if I didnt live on the West side.

Being Thai, it is a challenge to find real quality Thai products and ingredients. Especially, if you cook a lot Thai foods. Also, Lily Market sells plenty of other Asian products, to include some Japanese and Korean. The owner and employees are friendly and approachable. The little eatery inside is also a nice touch for those who may want a quick bite of Thai food or other Asian style foods, when available. One of my definite "must go to" markets in Portland.

Horrible customer service and checking out takes a life time! It makes me not want to shop there at all, checkout ladies take their sweet ass time when theres a freaking line! If you have a complaint dont even bother asking for help they dont care about their customers they are just money hungry people. I wouldnt even give this place 1 star!!

My favorite Asian grocery in the extended Portland area. This is a small establishment with narrow packed isles, but the prices and variety are excellent. The product is mostly Thai based, but theres a good amount of other options as well. Produce is a little lacking. Hot food is super tasty(!) and very well priced.

Ive been shopping and eating here for years. I love their pork and shrimp fresh salad rolls. If you want fast thai food this is the place to be! I love their thai sausage, chicken and bamboo curry and pad see ew. The aunties cook right in the back kitchen and the price is right. Great pit stop for lunch on the go.

I love this place. The fresh produce is very good and affordable. The hot food there is perfect! Pad Thai, curry, fried rice, salad rolls and much more. Raw coconuts are a sweet treat for fresh coconut water, and never cost more than a buck and change. My favorite Market!

The hot deli is convenient and has some great Thai food. I often walk down here to grab lunch when Im working down the street. Try the bamboo chicken or the salad rolls. Yummy... And theres a cute lil grocery store in the back that I havent even fully explored.

My favorite little family-run grocery, always has a great selection of SE Asian products and ingredients. Good, albeit small, selection of fresh produce, always tasty options in the deli (salad rolls, assorted Thai curries, noodle dishes, etc.).

The prepared foods are delicious. I love the lemongrass sausages, steam buns, and tapioca balls filled with pork. The store is fun to look around and has a large selection for its small size.
