Ive gone in here three times. The first time I went in, the older man behind the counter was not helpful and seemed disinterested in helping me. The second time, a younger man was behind the counter - he was friendly enough. Last week when I came through, the older gentleman was back. I had taken one forward step and a side step into the door: I was finishing up a phone call, but wanted to check the price of their Svedka first... Almost instantly, the older man stopped helping the customer he was helping and said very loudly to me (keep in mind, I am right by the door, and no where near the counter, simply looking at the prices), "Maam. Maam." At this point he pulls a sign over from the other side of the counter and points to i. I step forward so that I can see the words... I can see a cell phone on it before my eyes are drawn back up by his voice, "There are no cell phones at the front counter." "Oh, Im sorry," I said confusedly, and took a giant step backwards to where I was previously. I am just apologizing on the phone, because I cant see the Svedka, when.. "Maam. Actually, youre going to need to finish your conversation outside." ... On one of the rare nights that its already hit below zero. I quickly put my phone down by my side, "Im just looking for the price of the Svedka, if you could help..." "We dont sell Svedka." Okay.... great. I then turn around and leave, never to return. I DO understand a No Cell Phone policy at the front counter, especially in a place where you need to interact with the staff in order to pull bottles down... But the attitude in which he directed my attention to his sign, and the conversation following, have made me a Never Repeat customer. I imagine that the customer that he left at the counter would feel similarly mistreated. Thanks, but I can drive out of my way to find some friendlier service.

A Private User

Any liquor store you go to in Oregon will have the SAME prices, since the OLCC controls liquor and sets the price. Same goes for liquers. If you go somewhere and the prices are lower, check the calendar and see if youre in a new month since the last time you were in a liquor store, because the sales change every 1-3 months. The only prices the store owners control are the mixers and other non-liquor/non-cigarette items. Please keep that in mind when you read these reviews and when you visit ANY liquor store. This is a great neighborhood liquor store. Theyre good at listening to their customers and bringing in the mixers that they want, which sometimes means they bring in more expensive items. But ask them if they can carry a certain mixer and theyll usually check on it for you and bring it in ASAP. Do everyone (including yourself) a favor and make sure you read the "no cell phone" sign before you enter, and everyone will be happy.

This is actually a very nice store in a part of town where all the houses go for at least 300 grand in a normal market. So I would say a very NICE part of town. Sorry other dude. Not allowed to use your cell phone though.
