The general look inside this store is like any other Safeway, I dont have any suggestions or comments on that. My comments center around their produce dept. and the many times I have been in to get fresh produce, and its anything but fresh! Severely wilted, and even mold on certain fruits. Their English cucumbers have had soft spots all over the length of the cucumber, thats not good! The next issue with this Safeway is getting through a line in a timely manner....its anything but timely, fast or convenient to get your grocery items there. I live close by, and the ONLY reason I go there any more (because their prices are outrageous, to say the least, funny grocery stores claimed to have been forced to raise their food prices on the consumers due to the high fuel costs during the recession, WELL fuel prices have gone down significantly and for quite some time now....DID ANY of the grocery stores lower their prices back down? NOPE, still sticking it to the consumers like this Safeway store is, they got the only store for groceries around this area, with the closing of Albertsons...so, they know they gotcha!) Slow, crowded, inconvenient checkout lines, they either need to hire more employees and have the checkers working at high traffic hours or run the risk of loosing more patrons...one thing I wont do repeatedly, is stand for poor customer care, customer service AND pay crazy high prices. I take my business and money to Trader Joes now, they know how to hustle to get us back out and home in a timely manner, because of that...I dont mind their prices...which are still lower then Safeway on King Rd.

Ive shopped here for 10 years. I could be a professional reviewer for every grocery type store in the Portland metro area... so here is why they get a solid 3. Cons: 1. CHECK YOUR RECEIPT! In a 6 month period Ive been refunded no less than 50 bucks due to incorrect pricing. I dont get it. While the employees are AWESOME... their POS system is a POS. I just started eagle-eyeing my receipts and it makes me shudder the think how much money Ive erroneously been charged and paid for. Ugh. 2. No self checkout. It sucks. I say they take out the lame seating area behind Starbucks, maybe take out one of the check stands that are rarely used?? 3. In the past it used the be a bummer that they didnt have a better "natural" section, by with Freddies, Natural Grocer (they are the best!!), Woodstock remodeled Safeway and now new seasons... its not such a big deal. SEMI CON: the monopoly game feels scammy. I swear Ive put in HOURS each year wheelin and dealing and buying crappy food (cuz thats how you get the game tickets.. by buying most crap food). I dont know... I might just be a sore loser. Pros: Great employees. Super helpful, they always refund my money happily and with a smile (see con #1).

I have been a loyal safeway shopper for many years and plus I have family members who work for Safeway. However, the deli seems to be a bit below Safeway standards. Twice, the fried chicken was soggy and greasy, not the crispy version I am used to. I bought corn chips which are supposed to be fresh but the bag was stale and ended up in the trash. The chicken caesar pasta was dry and lacking flavor. This store is close to work but dont think I will do much more than the basic shopping and just continue shopping at my Tigard store

Some of the people are nice here but most of them are rude, slow, and make you feel like a thief as youre leaving. I got stopped once on my way out the door and was asked if I paid for the case of water on the bottom of my cart, Ive even been asked that IN THE CHECKOUT LINE by a bagger. The lines are always ridiculously long too. Ive had it. I go to a different one now. Much better!

I shop here occasionally, but I avoid it if possible. Last time I stopped in, they had no carts or baskets at the entrance. They have an okay selection, but unless something is on sale, their meat and cheese is pricier than other grocery stones. My biggest gripe is they desperately need self checkout. Ive had to wait in line for over 15 minutes on several occasions.

"Cant beat their meats". There is a lot of shops in the parking lot, with a fitness center, pet grooming and much more, plus inside Safeway is U.S. Bank and Starbuck with setting inside Safeway and outside. This Safeway Store also has a Safeway gas station. There are many shops across the street from the store. Ill add picture a little later.

This store is the worst. The selection isnt so bad. The prices arent terrible but the lack of staff sucks. They always need more cashiers. Theres never anyone around. So if you need something expect to wait. And wait. and wait. Dont bother returning bottles or cans here either. You WILL regret it.

In comparison to other local markets, Safeway is higher. That said, I shop here for the sale items, which are fabulous. I have found items at this Safeway I cannot find elsewhere. Also, I have discovered some of their store brands are better than national brands.

Dated store. Bathrooms were filthy and falling apart. I was grateful to the bakery for putting my daughters name on a cake for graduation but wasnt aware they were using whipped icing and I prefer buttercrea. Over all okay experience.

Its a safeway. They sell stuff. Some of the staff are nice, some can be kinda cranky, and the prices are a little high compared to the winco up on 82nd. Still, its a couple of blocks away from my house, so 4 stars.

I stood at the deli not once but twice and nobody helped me nor did they come to ask me if I needed any help and then when they did they proceeded to help the lady that came after me customer service was not good

The service at Safeway is not good specially in the deli the people behind the counter they dont pay attention and the food in the deli is not very appealing looking especially the Chinese menu it is gross

Has everything you need in a clean nice location. Friendly staff and good selection. More expensive then other options but for a few items it is worth the convienance.

This Safeway is busier than most, but generally clean and well stocked. It feels more like a neighborhood store though, because the staff is awesome.

Convenient, clean, stocked. Overall a good safeway store. Double check tags and the item your grabbing they dont always line up on the shelfs.

Typical grocery store, but generally speaking its well stocked, clean and the checkout is normally quick. The employees are polite as well.

Dont come here if your in a rush, on your way home from work, the checkstands are more backed up than the 205 on a hot friday afternoon!!!
