Pros: large selection and most of the products are cheaper there than other grocery stores (stay away from the promotional items, and the merchandise at the register though.) The bulk foods bins save me a TON of money in groceries, from dried fruit to grains to beans to spices to baking goods, the bulk stuff is almost always cheaper than the packaged stuff on the shelf. They dont have the really high-end products, but if you want the good stuff, why are you at Winco anyway? Cons: every employee Ive come across has either been unknowledgeable or completely disinterested in their job and/or the store. Not that they were necessarily rude, but I just couldnt get an answer for what I needed. Basically, go in there with the idea that this is a completely Serve-Yourself situation. Dont expect great service, short lines, or super high quality. Youre there to save money and get out. And you will. I just wish there was one closer to home.

8:30 in the morning and only 1 person using the self-checkout - leaving 5 self-checkout stations open - No one behind me in line and the cashier running self-checkout told me I could not use it because I had too many items. The sign says "about 15 items" I counted the items in front of her and I had 17 items . . . She said someone with less items might have to wait if I used self-checkout. When I left, there were 0 customers using self-checkout. On another visit, I was stopped by a cashier to view my receipt to see if I had paid for the large bags of flax seeds in my cart - They sell large bags (25#) of grains, which is why I go there. If I could find another source for the 25# bags of flax seed, I would gladly go there instead of continuing to be subject to such disrespect.

I love the Winco! I spent $200 and ate like a king for a month. They are on point with prices and selection. The bad thing is that they are always crowded and overrun with the poors who are using their WIC checks and Food Stamps. You have to bag your own food, which is retarded but i guess is a cost saving thing and the places are always picketed by unions. I got harassed by a stinky fat guy wearing red flannel on the way in. He said I was hurting America by shopping at non-union Winco. I told him he was hurting America by not showering. Oh well. Save money and shop Winco if you have the patience.

I have shopped at Winco for my grocery shopping for the last 11 yrs I have lived in Fife, WA, not only for the best prices I have found in my area but also for their fresh produce, meats, and great selection of ethnic foods. My family loves seafood, especially halibut, and Winco carries a good variety and FRESH! It should not have surprised me to hear that my co-worker (our job is in the Olympia area) goes grocery shopping twice a month all the way from Olympia to Federal way and she freezes most of it. Now she is thrilled that Lacey will soon open its own Winco store on Nov 7th!

Federal Way WinCo is my favorite grocery store regardless they have pre-made salads pre-made sandwiches pre-made pizzas anything you need to get a party going. They have a walk-in fridge where you can grab a case of beer the store is big and plus the parking lot is huge. They have a coffee machine that I really enjoy it gives you a couple chinos or hot chocolate stuff like that. Although the lines can build up quickly since they are a good bargain. I have no issue shopping at the store most of the time you should check it out sometime.

I do most of my grocery shopping here. I love it! The prices beat anyone else. I dont eat meat so I dont know about their meat. Produce is fine. Lots of bulk stuff which I like. Plenty of variety, no one has everything - but they arent missing much. I dont mind bagging my own groceries - if it isnt busy I even separate what goes in the house from what stays in the garage. Someone else mentioned language - Ive never had any trouble with employees not speaking English. Actually, I admire them - many are bilingual. Great store!

Its a no-frills, bag-your-own-groceries store. If youre a hoidy-toidy type, it might not be for you since you prefer to pay more for the exact same items because the store looks fancy. If you dont really care about appearance or fancy displays, this is the place to shop for groceries - HANDS DOWN. Ive seen better meat and produce departments, but its not bad. The prices overshadow any shortcomings. Least crowded times to shop are early morning or night time, because most other times are pretty crowded (for a reason).

Great! Cheap and fast to shop. I bought a cat tower at winco for $35 in good condition and size, I saw a similar one at petco and petsmart , but it was as high as 199.99 so im very thankful and glad i saw and bought it at winco which prevented me from wasting money. Thank you for the greatest customer service i gotten at a supermarket in fed. Everyone Ive asked help from were really nice even if they didnt know the answer. Bottom line, Im very satisfied with your service! keep up the good work.

Prices are outstanding and the customer service is top notch! Selection is good but its standard fare - nothing fancy. Also, if you have an inkling to buy a slice of pizza and/or churro from the shop at the front, you should turn around, go back to the frozen foods section and buy a Red Baron or Newmans Own or anything else. The in-store pizza is dry, tasteless and not worth the price.

Save money with grocery purchases from WINCO. Less expensive than any other grocery store and bulk purchase locations. Expand your menu with international foods, find fresh seafood at the back deli counter, order specially decorated cakes at the bakery, customize your own quantities in the bulk bins, and bag your own items to save money.

People were more the problem than anything. But the way the aisles are set up and the way the crowding was. It was not a good visit. I saw 2 women carts side by side in an aisle to talk with each other and not one employee tried to keep aisles clear enough. Its dumb and frustrating.

They are open until 3PM on Thursday, Thanksgiving 11/26/09. Will reopen on Friday morning. Dont leave your cart unattended. Last year half our stuff was removed from the cart instead of people going to get their own stuff.. Nice. Consistent and good prices. Produce is sketchy.
