Filling a new or refilling an old prescription takes forever to do. More often than not they tell you 20 mins and it actually takes at least two hours. Ive waited hours and even days to pick up my medications. I thought this was the normal thing for pharmacies. Its not. I switched to another pharmacy in town and the longest Ive waited is 30 mins and they apologized for it taking soo looking after they had told me it was going to take that long. The only reason i give walmart 2 stars its because sometimes their pharmacists actually take time to explain a new medication in detail......sometimes.

Call or drop off your prescription ahead of time if you can. Cons: Weekends are busiest with a long line for pick up and wait time for a new prescription is usually 45 minutes all days of the week. Pros: If you go during middle of week or mornings on the weekend, lines are not bad. Staff people are friendly and respectful of your time and work hard to get people checked out quickly. Pharmacy is thorough on explaining medications and answers questions.
