I parked my car there while I went to the bridge around the corner, and when I came back, they had taped signs all over the windshield, and side windows of my car. And no, they didnt just lightly tape signs, they covered the whole drivers side of the windshield with crappy packing tape. I couldnt even clean it off. The sign said that the parking lot was not for the river, and my car would be towed. I went inside to talk to management, and maybe get some glass cleaner to get the vision obstructing residue off, and the loser in charge refused, and gave me a sad story how 20 old ladies couldnt buy their groceries that day because my car was parked there for so long. She then refused to even let my use any cleaner, and informed me that covering the windshield was intentional. I cant believe this action was allowed by management there. But I guess I wont be parking there anymore, and I certainly wont be buying anything from that crap hole.

Get a life! That pretty well sums up my impression of the staff and ownership of this small town market. I stopped here because just a few feet away from the corner of the parking lot is the historic Jacob Conser bridge. All I wanted to do was take a few photos of the bridge and views of the river, maybe a five minute stop. There was no street parking so since the market parking lot was 80% empty, I parked there. I wasnt two feet from my car when an older female clerk, who apparently has nothing better to do than look out at the parking lot and hassle people, started screaming at me about not parking there. Now whos to say that I wouldnt have walked into the market and bought a soda after taking those pictures? But not after such rude treatment. Sure, I understand not wanting a parking lot full of non-patrons, but thats pretty extreme. Count me as a non-patron forever.

I definitely appreciate having a nice market in a small town; its quite handy. The major problem with this store, however, is that they dont really provide much that is healthy aside from the fresh produce. There arent really any dairy free options. Nut/rice milks (soy, rice, almond, cashew, etc.) would be a nice addition. There isnt even a single healthy bread choice. They all have sugars/whey. Those are most folks basics (bread and milk). The hot foods section of the store is almost hard to stomach even walking by and its hard to think folks eat a lot of those options. Other meat substitute (vegetarian and/or vegan) options would also be a welcome addition to the store. They dont carry healthy jams or peanut butter either (Adams brand for example).

Prices are quite high, the quality of the produce has plummeted. The outside of the doors, have so many cobwebs on the lights, some of the employees need to do some cleaning, I have noticed a lot of lights out in the store, seemed a little dark. To much clutter on the floors around the store, so many employees under the age of 25. The only time I need to stop at the store, is when I really need something, that the other stores dont carry in Jefferson.

They towed a friends car after he had shopped there. 1500.00 dollars and fifty dollars. Day. He works for minimum wage. Now he has no transportation and nothing to show for his hard work. To me thats theft.
