My boyfriend and I are visiting the area from California. We were looking for a sandwich shop to have lunch before heading home, there was a comment about this place in someones review of a different sandwich shop. Decided to check it out on google, all the reviews were good and the menu online looked great. We decided to make the 30 minute detour out of Portland to come here to have lunch. We are incredibly impressed. He had the Reuben, the meet was very flavorful and the aioli was very good. I had the Chicken, Bacon, Cheddar melt, the Chicken is smoked and has tons of flavor, the bbq sauce is a little sweet and has a little kick, overall really great flavor for both, we couldnt have been happier with our food. The ladies that took our order, made our food and brought it out were very friendly. Best sandwiches we have had in a very long time. Taking an order home with us. We HIGHLY recommend making the trip for this great food.

Wild Game Hunters Beware - Very Poor Labeling. Just picked up my deer and the only cuts that were properly labeled were 4 small packages of backstraps. All other packages were labeled "steak". This is not what I would expect from a specialty butcher shop. I spoke with the owner and he informed me his shop doesnt have time to properly label the different cuts. Most aggravating is that only the rear portion of the backstraps were labeled. They lumped the front sections of these premium loins in with the rest of the "steak". From a hunter who puts countless time and resources into acquiring this very special meat, this is incredibly disappointing to say the least.

I ate at the cafe and it was amazing. I got the Turkey, Bacon, and Avocado sandwich and my fiance got the Reuben au jus. Both sandwiches were amazing and very filling. A little pricey for the small town country market feel, but well worth it. The staff is amazingly friendly and they were catering to everyones needs. After the trip to the cafe, we went to the very busy meat market one door down and though it seemed to be a good selection, we were too full to even think about food and didnt end up buying any meat. I cant wait to go back and look forward to getting some steaks to grill over the summer.

I love this place. the meating place is one of the cleanest places around town. they have great customer service. the staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable. they will do anything to keep customers happy. their fees are some of bes in town. My dog loves their Fresh all natural dog food. they use fresh meat and fresh vegetables , no preservatives. My dog looks better than ever since he has been on the RAW food diet. I highly recommend it!!!

I have always enjoyed this place but they really messed up my Sunday afternoon. I called them on Saturday around 2:50pm. I asked for game processing and was told to call another number. I did so, made sure I could drop off my 20pounds of duck and goose on Sunday. I drove about an hour to go drop the Game off and was told they do not accept goose until January 1st. I will not be going back and I will no longer recommend it to anyone.

If one could find meat in Nirvana or Heaven this little shop would be serving it. The meats here are procured from naturally raised animals and or game and it is all simply amazing to eat. We buy meats here for clients events and for our families and they do some amazing things with everything from pork loin to rabbit and all the Steak Cuts that exist! A fine meat experience but to be missed by anyone who loves the best!

Butchers are knowledgeable and kind. Thin sliced bacon. Pound a week is sure a treat. Butcher David cuts it fresh at our request. Its the best around. Custom cut meats, including your wild game. Call in advance for specific info. Smoked salmon available plus jerky and sausages. Crab cakes in season. Twice baked potatoes. Fresh eggs. Milk in 1/2 gallon glass jug. If youre hungry now, check out their cafe next door.

The quality of the meat and the friendly helpful staff is above anything the west side and maybe the entire Portland metro area has to offer. The prices are in line with the quality as only in the top steak houses in Portland will you be able to taste meat like this at 4 or 5 times the price. I love the bacon, beef and too many other things to describe here just go and see for yourself and you will be hooked too.

If your hours list you open till 6, then be open till 6. I got there at 5:45, and ordered $120 with of prime rib. "Sorry, weve cleaned our knives for the day but we can prepare it for you tomorrow." So I can waste an hour of my life and gas driving here again. I would swear a lot but then this would probably be rejected for posting. But trust me, on this side Im swearing.

The Meating Place is a sparkling gem, nay, a Tropical Oasis (of meat) amongst the sea of refuse that is the Greater Hillsboro-Beaverton-Aloha area. As a Portland resident who works way out here in the Burbs, you can imagine how delighted I was to find a restaurant that makes REAL, DELICIOUS, PALATABLE, food! Hark! The sweet meats beckon you forth...

The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The meat is amazing - fresh and locally sourced. Love the bacon, gf crabcakes, pepperoni and smoked pork chops. Theyve have frozen dog food full of quality ingredients. It is well worth the extra money to know where my meat comes from. And that their f.t. employees get health insurance and 401k.

Great meats, great service! Simply a great butchery! The kabobs are choice or prime cuts of beef, and very delicious. I cooked mine for 10 minutes at 425 on a Traeger and they were to die for! Twice cooked potatoes were on the grill for the same time and came out great. Best way to impress a guest is with meat from the Meating Place!

Im from NYC, was here on business, and just had an amazing Sirloin Bacon Cheddar Melt sandwich special. Very high quality ingredients used, especially that sirloin. Coming from NYC, Im used to great food, but this place can go toe to toe with any place in NYC. Definitely worth stopping by, but come hungry, the sandwiches are huge.

The individual that took care of us was less than friendly. I ordered short ribs 1.5 pounds. He put his hand through a plastic bag, scooped the product out and weights it. Once I got home and went to cook them, I realized there were 5 bacon sized pieces of meat in my bag and a pound of sauce. $14 for sauces.

The Meating Place is the best! My family absolutely LOVES their pepperoni, jerky and summer sausage for snacks along with their other products. Their prices are great and the owner is usually working - great customer service! Im glad that I found this place...Im definitely a loyal customer.

Great friendly customer service. My steaks were cut perfect and very tender. Each package was wrapped first with saran wrap and double wrapped with freezer paper. The pepperoni sticks and sausage were very delicious. I only wish I would have had more made. Thanks all at the Meating Place.
