I trust EVERYTHING they sell since all products must fit a strict set of rules. Everything is well labeled, I can buy TONS of locally made goods including produce, not a bit of corn syrup or hydrogenated foods here, the atmosphere is FAR happier and more genuin than any big box mega market, the prices are a teeny bit higher on some things but that can be allayed by buying during owner appreciation sale day which is 10% off your entire purchase ($70 min.) or buying bulk items. The bulk departments are to DIE for! I get almost everything in bulk now, refilling bags and jars and other containers. I havent bought a box of cereal in YEARS. Or a bottle of yummy organic olive oil. Or pasta, or shampoo, or lotion, or currants, or dish soap....Way too many items avail. in bulk to list all I buy. Even lentils in 6-8 varieties! Try the tamari almonds, omg.

I absolutely love the quality of each product they carry, as I have yet to find fault in anything I have purchased. However, the service here is quite terrible. Each time I check out the cashiers act very odd and never want to chat. Only once has a cashier given me a bean for the fundraising- never had I known about that. I will continue to shop here as I feel I always get great produce and grocery items (plus I love their bulk section) but the quality of customer service is at a very low point.

This is a good store for me to look for spices and grains in the bulk section. It is very convenient to park, go in and get things quickly. Many people do not value convenience so other stores where prices for the same item is lower (sometimes 40% -50% of the First Alternative price) are a good option. All in all, I like coming here when I dont have tons of time to go to bigger stores.

Love the selection. Very expensive but usually worth it, I shop here whenever I want the best fruits and veggies in town. However, once I bought a loaf of organic bread from here, then one day later it was covered in black mold. I dont know their quality check system, but it was kinda disappointing

This place is awesome. The staff are ridiculously friendly and helpful. A lot of the times you feel bad for saying that you dont need any help. haha. The food selection for being a food Co-op in Corvallis oregon is beyond amazing. I also love their foods they have that you just get quick.

Really great service. We lived in Albany for over 10 years and went here every week. We moved to Florida cant find a certain spice that can only be found at the Co-Op. I called and they immediately mailed us 3 packs, Priority Mail. Thanks so much.
