The manager provided some of the best customer service I have had the priveledge of receiving. I went in after hearing from a coworker how good their donuts were. I picked out 12 of some of the best looking donuts for me and my family. I went to pay for beatiful vox of sugary eye candy when my card was declined. No real reason given and I knew I had just been paid that day so I tell her I will call my bank and find out whats going on. She said no problem and she set my donuts aside for when this got straightened out. Fast forward through a 20+ minute, very frustrating, call to be basically told that I was SOL until my new card arrived or I could get to a physical bank to get a temp card. I had just dropped my car off at the shop so I didnt have easy access to the closest bank. I went and explained this to the manager that I couldnt pay for the donuts. She very generously insisted that I take the donuts and simply pay her later. I offered her my sincerest thanks and my promise to back as soon as I could. I immediately went home and rearranged my schedule to walk to the nearest bank. Took a couple hours, but finally got a working temp card. I was able to get back to her shop close to 12 hours later and guess what? She was still there!! She had probably been there since before they opened and still had a smile on her face and a cheerful attitude. TLDR; Had issues paying, manager gave me free donuts. P.S. Donuts tasted delicious as well!!!

I was looking for a place to get doughnuts for a birthday party for someone with nut allergies so I was calling local shops. was told by an employee when I called that they dont cook with any peanuts or tree nuts. Then when I went in to order I was told they do. When I asked what had nuts she said they use sesame seeds, which I let her know are not nuts and okay. She then told me she tells everyone with a nut allergy not to eat there. I asked to speak to the baker to clarify since we were having a language barrier issue and she was getting confused and she told me to call tomorrow morning to speak to the baker. Looked like a good place but terrible customer service, poor consistency, and poor product knowledge.

My boyfriend and I LOVE Sesame Donuts, this location in particular. We dont go very often because we will leave with two dozen donuts, that will inevitably be consumed in short order. Their selection is fantastic and my favorite are the strawberry iced donuts, something you cant find just anywhere. I loved the size and texture of their donuts as well as all of the interesting flavors. Pistachio creme filled were the newest, tastiest ones I tried. Something Id never had but now will always love! Their staff are kind, and when no strawberry iced were available, the woman at the counter offered to go back and make one for me! Truly a gem of a place to go for when you have to have an awesome donut!

You can take your Voodoo and Blue Star and get out of here because Sesame Donuts has the best donuts in the Portland metro area, full stop. The woman who runs this location is ridiculously friendly and efficient, and the donuts themselves are top-notch. At 10 AM on a Tuesday, Id say there was a selection of maybe 24 types to choose from, including fritters, cake donuts, and my all-time favorite, a raspberry jelly-filled masterpiece covered in fine white sugar. I paid $12 for a dozen, and I was out the door in 90 seconds. You cant beat that.

Stoped by for just a maple bar which cost me a $1.25. coming from Southern California that seems a little steep for a donut. And especially since that donut tasted like it was left over from yesterday. The maple bars from 7-Eleven taste better. Extremely disappointed. I had one from another donut place over off of Cornell, cant remember the name of it, which cost I believe a $1.35 but that one was almost worth it. I would definitely go back to that one, but not this Sesame Donuts.

Ive visited this establishment a few times over the last couple of weeks and theyve got some really good doughnuts. I havent been a doughnut eater in a long time, but these doughnuts Ive been getting lately really remind me of how great of a comfort food the doughnut can be. I enjoy that theyre made fresh and by a local business rather than a big chain that can sometimes miss the mark in terms of quality. Great work Sesame Doughnuts!

My first time to Sesame donuts so I was not familiar with their donuts or ordering process. Staff was unhelpful and impatient despite me being the only one in the store. They had a decent variety of donuts. Taste wise the donuts were ok. Likely would not go back to this location.

Straight forward donut shop with plenty of variety. Try the sesame donut at least once, you just might get hooked. I personally like the old fashioned plain donut best. Store has been clean and had efficient service every time Ive dropped in.

It was clean inside but outside trashed, no line, the doughnuts had nothing special about them. Not exciting at all. Very plain like ones from a grocery store. Not sure why youd go there. Would not bother to go there again.

Looking for a tasty donut, this place is worthwhile. Ive stopped in a few times for donuts. Way better than Krispy Kreme, but not as good as Donut Palace. I love the actual Sesame Donut. Very tasty.

The 185th shop is close to home, super easy and nice to my noisy kids, and there is have an after 8pm special... My little boy thinks the Cotton Candy donuts are the best. I like the "Portland".

The donuts were okay, however they were really dry by 4pm. The person working also stared at a ladys behind a bit too long before asking me what I wanted and that was awkward.

Went in today to get some donuts and a coffee. I got my cup to grab the coffee and there were ants everywhere. I informed the employee but she didnt seem surprised. So nasty!
