I discovered this store after years of shopping at New Seasons because it is closer to me, but after so many obvious staff changes after it changed from being local to just another corporation, I decided to shop elsewhere. I was astonished on so many levels. My grocery dollar goes further and my shopping time has dropped! Prices are fantastic. Just for example, Applegate Turkey Bacon is $3.75 compared to $5.99! Lower prices are across the board and thats worth the drive. Bulk items are conveniently prepackaged at great prices. They have a particular philosophy which the company was founded on in 1950 and they have never changed that for increased profits. Produce is only organic and they do not sell alcohol, a high profit item because of the company principles. But there are plenty of alternative drinks and the wellness area is almost as large as the food department. They offer classes, a great newsletter AND they REWARD you for being a customer by giving you credit for dollars spent. I like to support Food Front Cooperative as well, but if shopping dollars matter as much to you as they do to me, I suggest you get familiar with Natural Grocers. I used to shop almost everyday at New Seasons because I was hypnotized by the shopping experience (Im a foodie) but now I shop once a week and am saving hundreds of dollars per month. How? I just stick to the basics, get in, get out. Good food made simple.

"Health food" stores have grown up. When I first started going to"health food stores" in the early 1970s, the places were small, the shelves often in disarray and never faced. Natural Grocers is an example of how far they have come. Certainly small compared to modern Megamarts, but close enough to a regular Grocery store size to lose the claustrophobic feelings of the past while keeping a certain comfortable intimacy. NG has a better-than-good selection, catering to special diet (vegan, gluten free, dairy free, etc.), seasonal organic veggies, large vitamin & supplement sections, a kitchen for demos and classes, bulk foods and spices (all the usual herbs and spices plus some that are more difficult to get, like five spice blend and cardamom), hard to find ingredients at reasonable prices. This time I just wanted a gluten free pizza that didnt make me hate my life. From their impressive Frozen Foods section I found a winner. On previous visits the staff has proven to be helpful and knowledgeable.

I used to live in Colorado so I was surprised to see a Natural Grocers in Oregon. I always enjoyed shopping at Natural Grocers back home, even though they have a small selection of produce, its pretty much like any other store I went to back home. The layout is simple and you dont feel overwhelmed with many isles of the same thing. While the selection of product may not be huge like Whole Foods they still have a good variety of items and the store feels clean and organized. One thing lacking at Whole Foods and New Seasons are bulk items which Natural Grocers have. If your looking for a place with a good organic food selection and a huge "vitamin" shop then this is a great place to go. Prices also tend to be slightly lower then New Seasons and Whole Foods.

Its a nice store with friendly employees, and their selection/prices of bulk gluten free flours and bulk spices is wonderful. I can get xanthan gum for baking here for a mere fraction of what it costs anywhere else. I also like the loss leaders on organic produce and the $2 grab bags. Other grocery items are incredibly expensive. I can get many similar things down the block at Trader Joes for much less. I work a couple of blocks away so its a convenient stop on the way home, but I cant afford to buy many groceries there.

We stopped by this place since it was on our way and I was thoroughly surprised. Everything is organic and they have absolutely no artificial ingredients in anything. Very competitive pricing with places like New Seasons. It has no bags at all. So bring your own or use their cardboard box recycling to haul out your groceries. Ingeniously sustainable! It also has a book section, a cooking demo room and a seating area. They have many things in bulk as well. I will definitely be returning for my next healthy foods shopping trip!

I love this store. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. They have an extensive selection of supplements. Although the produce and meat selection is limited, Im able to buy a lot of hard-to-find packaged health foods at great prices. I love that all the gluten-free products are clearly labeled on the shelf. If you have any special dietary restrictions, this is the store for you. Lots of local products, as well. I appreciate that the store isnt overwhelmingly large and that it isnt overly crowded.

I love this place! Reasonable prices and huge selection of gluten free items and supplements. They even offer nutrition publications, books, and free lectures. They are big time advocates in the food industry- for all the right reasons. Never before has a corporate entity been so aligned with my health and nutrition views. As long as they dont sell out, they have a customer (and advocate) for life.

I love visiting this place for their selection and quantity of organic foods. This store is never busy and is usually very clean. Grocery attendees are always quite friendly as well. You need to bring your own bag: they do not supply bags or sacks of any kind. Also, not surprisingly, the prices of a store such as this can be quite high. Otherwise its always a good shopping experience.

Great produce. Meat is pretty expensive, the majority of people working here are very nice and helpful. Awesome selection for supplements, small hard to find items and the bulk section is pretty sweet too. Also, huge healthy beverage selection, and prices destroy whole foods. Definitely a go to store for our small family.

This place pretty much has it all and is sometimes more than a dollar cheaper than the natural foods / vitamins than the Fred Meyer across the street. Also has a few organic options in produce I havent been able to find anywhere else. Also has an ample supplement and beauty section. Such a great store !

This place has a great selection of natural groceries along with the best selection of vitamins and supplements in Beaverton. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Their prices for comparable items will almost always beat their fancier competitors.

I really like this store. The bulk grains, nuts and dried fruit are really good and priced very competitive priced, as is most of the stuff in the store. The supplements are the only things that seem a bit pricey, but I avoid them anyway.

Awesome selection and much more reasonable prices than Whole Foods or New Seasons. Lots of local, lots of organic, and a whole case stocked with kombucha brands. Great supplements section. Reminds me more of the old-school co-ops.
