CAUTION!!! SHADY BUSINESS!!! DON’T END UP LIKE ME!!! (I work on JSON and C++ so I know bit about computers) A while ago I was using my laptop at work when it started to shut off and would not finish a boot cycle. I took the laptop into Galactic Computers the next day during lunch. The owner said he would fix the problem for $150 flat, said it would take five days, not bad. Five days come and go and no call. Tried contacting him but would never answer the phone. Checked the website for the business hours and went by there on the sixth day around 10am – the guys business is closed! No sign, nothing. Called the number, and left a message. Next day he returns my message to say the laptop is ready for pickup. I go by after work, the guy is once again not in during business hours! I finally caught him the next morning to get my laptop back. I get it back to the office and yeah, the laptop will finish a boot cycle but now it will not hold a charge. They guy gave me my laptop back without checking it or accidentally broke something when fixing another part, though I think it might have been even worse than that. I left him a voice mail and took the computer back in the next day. The day after he calls me and says it will be another $150 to fix the laptop. It was then when a third thought accrued to me, he may have intentionally sabotaged the computer to make me bring it back in. I do believe this is the case as the laptop sat on my work desk for less than 24 hours when I had come back in about the persisting problem and he said on the phone that I must have been the one to break it. I had enough and said I would pick up the laptop and go somewhere else. Went the next day and guess what? That’s right, the dude is closed again during his sites stated business hours! I was finally able to catch him in the morning to get my laptop back. So now I am out $150 and still have a broken laptop. Even if he did not intentionally sabotage the computer, it does not change the fact that he is at least very incompetent at his chosen profession in life. This is one small business you do not want to support! Go to Geek Squad first before here. DO NOT TRUST!!!

I had an old computer (laptop) repaired. I bought a brand new laptop, didnt like it so exchanged it after a couple months for one that met my needs. I had a new desk top built. When my computer goes out, my business shuts down! I become anxious and frustrated. I call the shop, they are patient, kind and reassuring like a good medical doctor. They assure me of good results and I leave it in their hands. Quickly I am receiving a call that I can pick up my perfectly working computer. The shop always remembers to not only fix what I knew was broken but check for other details that will keep it running well in the future. I have referred this place to others that too have had a great experience. A trusted place to bring your computer for a fair deal!

I had an excellent experience after finding Galactic Computers. Originally I had come in to have my older laptop fixed at a competitive rate. The owner is Frank and I was immediately impressed with his knowledge and skill. The repair I needed made it appropriate to consider instead to buy new one and because they stock several refurbished newer laptops, it was a very easy decision. I got a trade in credit for mine and came back later in the day after Frank had time to transfer everything to the new one. I was so pleased with how this worked out, I returned to check out what he had available to replace my sons older laptop as well. He is very honest and helpful and I would not hesitate to recommend him to all.

I have only great things to say about owner operator Frank at Galactic, his customer service is above par. Frank is my first call if I ever have any computer question. We had a very old home desk top that needed help, money was tight for us and Frank came up with options for us to choose from to get us by and the fix we went with worked for a long time. Frank is very good at explaining details to me, I am a computer users that is a bit intimidated about how it all works. We have upgraded from the old desk top we bought 2 used computers from Franks shop a laptop and desk top for great prices and they have been working great.

This Galactic Computers melded with what used to be Sunset Computer that was located on SW Farmington, Beaverton, Or, til July 2015. Galactic Computers is easy to find on SW Canyon Rd., though you will have to drive toward the back of that strip mall. Frank, is a talented guy and very smart and helpful! I very much appreciated Franks quick discernment on the problem and quick repairs. Give it a try!

Frank is so knowledgeable about various computer problems that he quickly troubleshoots issues and clearly explains what is wrong. Ive taken my laptop to this computer repair service shop a few times for unrelated issues.

Called in yesterday to check availability for a new screen for my laptop, and asked if I could bring the computer the following day and they said I could. I drove over a half hour after they were supposed to be open and no one was there. I was disappointed. I will just have to find another company to do business with.

Galactic Computers provides the best priced data recovery service in Beaverton. They did an excellent job getting back data from a failing drive in a very reasonable amount of time. They can also handle phones, laptops and tablet repair too.
