This review will only address the customer service and cake quality. I have always liked La Baguette and have bought many cakes from here in the past. Our experience with their cakes have been great, until the most recent one, which fell way short of our expectations. The frosting and filling were unusually sweet (even for a sweets lover like me), the decoration looked hastily done (although I really dont care much for it as long as the cake tastes good), and the cake vs. frosting and filling ratio was severely off (I really felt like I was eating out of a store-bought jar of frosting rather than eating a professionally baked cake from a reputable bakery). I figured something might have gone wrong because human mistakes happen, so I gave the store a call to give them a chance to make things right. I was not able to reach a manager during the first call, but someone did take my number to have him/her call me back (tip: please ask for my last name politely and not say "you got a last name?" Yes, miss, I do have a last name.) When someone finally called me back, I explained to them what I found about the cake, and asked if there is anything that can be done. The response I received was shocking. I was told that this is how they made their cakes for the last 30 years, its how it should be, and that I shouldnt have gotten it if I didnt like sweet, and just dont get that cake again. The person did not even ask me to bring the cake in so that they can check and see if there is anything wrong. No good will attempt was made to ensure customer satisfaction. I politely explained my issues with the cake, and in exchange received very unprofessional and rather rude customer service attitude. I have been saving the cake until they re-open the store today to make this phone call. Now the cake can be promptly discarded because there is no point in keeping it, after all even those who sold it did not care enough to take another look at their product. Needless to say, the disappointment I received today will keep me from coming back. We will miss La Baguette cakes on our special occasions, but this last one has certainly left a bad taste in our mouths.

Good service, honest staff, clean locale, very clean restrooms, and appetizing presentable foods. Metal silverware, ceramic plates, all well washed and clean. Multiple varieties on the bakery menu, barista options, soft drinks, and the expected french bakes. I sampled the strawberry french napoleon, it was a little soggy on the top, layer; the cream, strawberry and bake flavor was good. Also sampled their french bread. Thin crispy outer layer with soft but not-too-soft inside, not sour not sweet, just enough saltiness, impressed. Price maybe slightly inflated but may be worth it if you grow tired of Starbucks and their no longer quiet atmosphere. The french bakes have an upperhand. Soft anjoyable music, adds good atmosphere. Free Wi-Fi. Military friendly. I sampled their Vienna coffee. Thicker grind, not too strong flavor wise. If you want just plain coffee, I would advise to pair it with a treat. Its not bold or full of flavor, if anything it maybe a little "plain". I believe however that their coffee is a good selection for mixing with baked sweets. Close to Auto-Valet Car Wash, a vehicle detail business. This bakery is a great place to enjoy a warm cup of coffe or expresso with a nice bakery treat while you wait.

Very disappointed in our recent visit. The new renovations have turned this charming, warm and quaint little cafe/bakery into something that reminds you of a mental asylum or something out of Beetle Juice. The restaurant is now dark and institutional with gray walls and dim lighting. Our waiter was not attentive (although the hostess was warm and polite) and they have raised their prices by about $2-$4 a plate. Im assuming they are trying to appeal to the "West-siders" in Norman? What once was a bright plate of Eggs Benedict, crispy seasoned potatoes and a nice delicious pile of juicy fruit was now two poached eggs with runny whites next to mushy potato pieces and two sad little slivers of a strawberry. There was only two other tables filled on a Sunday morning during brunch. If it wasnt broke, why fix it? I suppose its Pub W for us from now on... : (

(Last time I checked this location is closed on Mondays.) While the La Baguette location on Main St. has the title "Cafe", Bistro might be better used to describe that location, not this one. It is a nice, reasonably priced restaurant with low lighting, cloth napkins, a nice quiet spaces. I highly recommend the six-cheese ravioli with your choice of sauce. But its hard to go wrong with anything on the menu. If you order a full sized dinner salad (not a side salad), be prepared to get a to-go box if you dont have a big appetite. There is a nice bar area. A semi-recent remodel has the dessert cases located in an attached Cafe, that also serves espresso drink and Italian sodas, just like the Main St. location.

I loved this place for the atmosphere and the food. Seemed like a hip casual place to grab a quick bite at a reasonable price. The bread here was on point crispy crust and tender inside. I had the Alfredo. The sauce was exceptional and the garlic bread was well presented with just the right mix of garlic, butter and tostiness for a great crunch with my perfectly cooked noodles. The waitress, on the other hand, was dry to the point of rude. I hope her day got better. Bakery items, cheesecake, were delicious. Over all I give high ratings in spite of the server. Maybe it was a one off. Ill go back and see what I come up with.

Very good food. Menu has things that are different than a typical Oklahoma restaurant. Good service in the restaurant. In the bakery, waited a few minutes while the employees stood talking in the back. Left empty handed. Bakery items looked very good. We would like to return because of the good and fresh tasting food. Not sure about going into the bakery again. Entrance is kind of confusing to the restaurant, but you can just pretend to know what you are doing, boldly choose a door, and zig zag around until you get to the restaurant area. Or, look closely through the window and choose the entry door farthest from the bakery.

Ordered a Ruben sandwich which they had added chipotle mayo to and when I returned it the person that was serving us never came back, they did not bring me another sandwich and when the person I was with got up and went to ask about it the girl at the front said she knew nothing about it. The person helping us was in training however they refused to give me another sandwich even though I had only had 2 bits out of the one that I returned. I will never go back there again, the staff was not trained and they obviously care nothing about the opinion of the customers.

I will start by saying that I have only had carry out desserts from this location. SO I cannot comment on the dining experience. The desserts are excellent and many are made ready to go. You can even buy whole pies and cakes. You can also order pre-order desserts for special occasions. The staff is eager to wait on you and very friendly. Their dessert prices are a little high, but they are quality and top notch.
