Allow me to preface by saying this is not a review of the employees of American Freight, but the store and its policies. I bought a mattress last year, specifically a Serta. I believe it was the most expensive one they had, but I could be wrong about that. Suffice it to say it wasnt a cheap one. On the second day of using it, my back felt like it was broken. I looked at the mattress and realized there was a HUGE dip in the center. I called three times of a period of a week, and kept leaving messages with employees. Sometime later, someone called me back (not sure how long,) and told me to talk to someone specifically, and gave me the name and when to call. Keep in mind, I had been sleeping on the couch this entire time. I was very unhappy. When I reached the person I was supposed to talk to, he gave me extremely specific instructions, such as stripping the bed sheets down, taking a yard stick and a measuring tape and taking pictures to show him what was wrong. First off, thats infuriating and no other store Ive ever dealt with would have me do something so silly. Take the darn thing back. But I digress. I do this and over some period of time (whatever period of time it was, its way to long. At this point this is MONTHS after I bought it,) he tells me the credit has been approved. What an honor this was, to be be approved for a "credit" on the POS mattress that was sold to me! Unfortunately, the fun wasnt completed yet. Now, I had to schedule an in home inspection of the mattress. Being as I work 10 hours a day, theres nothing I love more than making time to have a stranger come into my house and inspect my furniture. But to top it all off, Im told Ill have to pay for drop off/delivery of a new mattress. That was the final straw. Im not going to be sold 1,000 dollar broken junk product, be strung along for months and then be told I have to pay for the honor of getting the product I originally paid for. I will not pay them jack. I will set this mattress on fire before I do that.

The furniture is really nice looking but the prices could be lower and the customer service really really sucks. My fatger baught us a couch for Christmas and of course the one we wanted wasnt in stock so we had to order it which wss fine since they have a two week hold if you pay by check the sails man said it would be in by the 19th which was fine. BUT when the 19th came around i never heard from anybody on when they were comi g out to deliver my couch i had to call them and found out the truck hadnt came in yet and they said it would be in on the 20th which was ok i guess because of the storm and it being winter and all but when the 20th came i had to call yet again to find iut what was going on i was told that the truck might be stuck in traffic or bad weather because it was coming from North Carolina which was kind of understanable was told that i would get a call once it came in got a call at 5 p.m. was woken up because i work 3rd shift at my job and got tired of waiting and yet again was told that the truck had not shown up and they would call corporate in the morning to find out what was going on and that they would call me in the a.m. to let me know whats going on (Which i should of known better to fall for agian). The morning of the 21st once again never heard from them so instead of calling these yeah hoose again i decided to call their customers service department was told the lady in charge was on lunch and was sent to here voicemail and never got a call back but the store did call me at around 2:45p.m. and was told that they shipped a couch from the Florence KY store and wanted to know when i wanted it to be delivered the next day I told them I didnt want it the next day I wanted it by 5 that day so i could go to bed to sleep before work and be done with them. Surprisingly it showed up before 5 still had to pay the outrageous $65 delivery charge. I will never go back to American Freight ever again and i suggest no one else shop there either.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life! My husband and I have been in the market for a new living room set for quite some time. My Husband has a chronic illness, so we decided as a family that we didnt need to go to a big name store and spend thousands. So today as we were browsing online we came across what seemed to be a great deal from American freight. When we get there, we are led to this horrible couch and loveseat that I wouldnt even consider for my kids playroom. Let alone a true family room where we entertain our guests. So we browse for a while with our two toddlers and see a few things that peak our interest. My family and I sit down to discuss which set we like best. We are prepared and about to make a very large purchase. The next thing I hear is "get off my furniture kids" my husband and I immediately get up and begin to walk our kids to the car deciding not to purchase from this company. As we walk by the manager, without provocation, he yells at me and says I dont come to your home and climb on your furniture maybe you should keep a better eye on your kids. This immediately stopped me in my tracks. First he yells at my kids then he yells at me! I turn around as my husband takes the children to the car and ask the manager if he has children. He avoids the question and tells me that I am a bad mother because my husband and I, in his words were not watching our boys. This is the store manager! Picking a fight with a customer! I have never felt so disrespected and angry with a company before in my life. As a manager of a store myself, I would never treat anyone the way this man treated my family. And yelling at children! I think not! This so called business will never get a dime from myself or anyone I know ever again. Buyers beware!

Horrible experience. Never do business with this company. The order is in my step dads name because my money was in his account. Ordered a couch coffee table two end tables and 2 lamps. Was told it would be $498 was charged $598. Asked for same day delivery for couch and lamps because the tables were out of stock and that they would be in, in 4 days. Had to pay $75 for the same day delivery which is fine whatever. It gets to be closing time for the store and no one has showed. I call the store and ask why I still dont have my stuff. They tell me they dont have my lamps in that more went out than planned. They were just going to not deliver my items instead of calling to let me know whats going on. Its now been over a month I have yet to receive my tables and lamps. I called Thursday and was told the truck that had my items all the tables were damaged. Okay thats fine but again no one called to tell me. I finally get a call yesterday that my stuff is in and was told by two different people my stuff would be delivered for free. Get a call from the driver and he told me its going to be $35 to deliver my items. First of all I was told I wouldnt have to pay when a company screws up you take the loss not the customer. Second Ive had to wait for over a month for items I was promised would be in, in 4 days and 3rd where the hell was the commincation to let me know what was going on? I called demanding to talk to the manager yesterday just to be told he was with a customer and they would take a message and call me back. He never bothered calling me back. At this point Im just going to have to demand my money back and take my business elsewhere. Ill make sure to leave a horrible review on the BBB website and let everyone know not to use this company ever.
