We started shopping at Giant Eagle because it is close to our home, plus they have FuelPerks. Yes, they are expensive on many things, but they have great quality produce plus their international section carries many unusual grocery items. They also have great customer service - people there have been consistently friendly and helpful. Also, I have never had a hassle when returning an item. They stand behind their store-brand products, refunding double the price of any Giant Eagle brand item youre unsatisfied with. They even gave me double my money back when some produce was bad when I cut into it! Their deli has some great offerings and their seafood department has some of the freshest and tastiest seafood available in town. I cant quite give five stars, and thats because of the pharmacy. The only dissatisfaction weve experienced at this store is with the pharmacy. Twice, weve had people who had a terrible time getting our insurance information to work. The second time, my husband waited for twenty minutes while the technician tried to get his insurance information working. When he finally said his wife had the same insurance, the person pulled up my info and copied it over to his account and it went right in. Thing is, Id had a terrible time getting my first prescription filled here at this store, waiting a good 45 minutes before they figured it out. Also, one pharmacist, a man, has been rude in the past, but I think hes just not a people-person or they were very busy. The FuelPerks really add up, too, especially when we fill a 30gallon tank using them. We love Giant Eagle!

Have always loved this store until today. In town for my sisters graduation, went to the bakery to pick up the cake for my parents the lady couldnt have been more of a jerk. We stood there for a few minutes getting ignored while one woman "supervised" another decorating a cake. The attitude towards us was completely unnecessary, and the decorating skills were amateur. Not impressed and would recommend never getting custom cakes through that bakery between the horrible attitude, cheesy decorating, and high price for this lovely experience.

Prices are high. They take away gas credits after some time. They should never do this because those credits are paid for everytime you purchase any thing in the store. Those credits are added into the price of everything (no business could survive giving away gas at that level). So when you purchase credit on gas you should get to keep it till you use it.

I used to love to shop here. The produce was so fresh and the bakery always had the best cakes. But I stopped going after I tried to buy a flower arrangement from the floral department. The floral lead, Layla, was incredibly rude to me and the whole experience was so upsetting I decided to never go back. Looks like Im a Kroger customer now.

Went in this afternoon for lunch items. Deli lady was super nice but FORGET about everyone else. The cashier, Chris the front team leader of all people, was EXTREMELY RUDE and unhelpful. SHe was to busy chatting with her co-worker. The store is REALLY expensive and unclean. I will never set place in that store again.

Do not buy the surf and turf Valentines day special! The sign says 1” steaks and this thing is 1/4 at best. It is pre packaged so they know you cant check it before you get home. I go to Giant Eagle when I want a quality product and they failed to deliver. Why would you pay extra for inferior products?

Without exception every single time I go into that store I have a great experience. great customer service , its always clean. Ive got nothing but good things to say about that store . Love the convenience and savings if the meal deals, and the meat departments prepared entrees are great.

Their selection is very low for a Giant Eagle or any grocery store for that matter. Service is always good but the self checkouts need work. It is in no way convenient. No matter what you do it just causes the computer to stop until an employee comes to help. Very frustrating.

I just went there for the first time a week ago. I went to buy a cake for a birthday party. I had tried their cake at another party. Their cake is awesome. From now on this is the bakery I am going to use.

Way overpriced. Always car accidents in the parking lot. Go to the Kroger on 21st if you are looking for an upscale shopping experience. Store is small and bad selection. Staff isnt very friendly either.

Ive just spent more than 40 minutes waiting on the phone trying to make an order of more than 150 pieces of chicken. When my call is transferred, I get put on hold--and no one picks up. Yikes, I give up!

Place is a joke! Produce manger is a lesbian and always hitting on my wife who works there !! Was turned in but nothing done!!! Place is a mess!!! Wouldnt even give 1 star but had to!

Pharmacy is very slow and people working in it are so rude. Groceries are expensive in comparison to other stores, although the meat and produce departments do have a lot to offer.
