You definitely have to be in the right mood to visit and shop here! But, if you appreciate a little "digging" and finding a great deal, this is a fun place to visit! Things to note: ALWAYS WEAR GLOVES if you plan to dig through the bins. Keep in mind, this is an outlet, not a store...so everything (and I do mean everything) is tossed into these huge bins that are on wheels and the glass in them often gets broken, so you are at risk of getting cut if you dont wear gloves. They do separate out many of the linens and they try to put just books or just shoes in some of the bins. Clothing is completely separated out and its easier to really search through those if you want; not as much activity in that area. The way they do it with these huge rolling bins...they roll several out at a time - like an entire row, which might be four or five long bins in a row. Everyone stands in a line so that when the bins stop in front of them, they literally just start digging. Its crazy!! This goes on all day long...bins go to the back to be refilled...bins come back out to the front. The associates will "yell" or announce that new bins are coming out, which is your cue to either get out of the way or get into the line to see what comes out next. You cannot keep your cart with you if youre going to stand in the line to search the bins. Park your cart somewhere at the end of a row that isnt being switched out or by the checkout area. People seem to be pretty good about leaving your stuff alone. Many items they charge by weight and others are just a flat price. Either way, there ARE deals to be found here...just be sure youre ready for noise and a bit of jostling, because some of these people are very serious about their bargains and seem to leave their manners behind at times. However, overall, its a fun place to check out if you have the nerve (and GLOVES)!

This is a place that is loved by all hell ever it is very tricky while being in there this is dubbed as the bends its very popular your best bet if youre going to come and visit this place to wear gloves because youre going to be getting down and out in the bins picking through stuff so if youre into picking through junk then youre going to totally love coming to that store. There are certain people to look out for such as the purse lady you cant miss her when the pins come out she will literally put you out of the way or push you into the bins just to get the purses she doesnt even buy them she only grabbed them look through them because somebody had found a hundred dollar bill in one of these purses so since then she will go hog-wild looking for all the purses that she can fit into her little bag and take them look through them and then throw them out theres quirks to everybody you can find some grape Vines this place is the awesome place to go to from 8 in the morning till 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 8 in the morning till 6 p.m. on Sundays you can find tons of stuff that you did not know you needed!!!

This place is a madhouse! All merchandise is placed in huge bins that you need gloves to dig through. Bins are swapped out after a certain allotment of time. People gather around new bins like vultures and pull out anything and everything they can get their hands on and throw it into a cart. Later theyll sort through things and throw back things they dont want. Most of the merchandise was dingy, dirty and some things were broken. You buy items by the pound, so you could find some good deals if youre willing to deal with the crowd. The staff are to be commended for being as friendly and enthusiastic as they are! I gave an extra star just for this reason.

The 1st time I went I swore I would never go back. A very different experience. Then I got snookered into going again. I dont know what happened-probably because I found something, then I started to dig like everyone else. My Mom and Niece love to go with me. Even my son loves to go. You never ever know what you will find there. The prices are very reasonable. You really cant beat it. I would say its definitely worth a visit. Just make sure you commit to twice. Dont write it off after the 1st time. Then make sure you go across the street to the Valley Thrift Store. Both stores a must. Makes a trip to Kettering well worth the visit.

One of the most disgusting thrift shops Ive ever been in. Hordes of people greedily digging like its their last day on earth. Kids running around unattended, banging on pianos and climbing furniture. Everything here looks and smells dirty. I have gone back a couple times to see if it was just an off day but its been the same, if not worse, every time I go there, so now I just avoid it entirely. Only upside to this place is that the electronics department is great, clean, and the most well put together part of the store. Overall, Id try to avoid this place and go to Valley Thrift which is within walking distance of this Goodwill.

Ok, so at first visit I felt uneasy. Like a dumpster diving mosh pit. But if you are into thrifting and flea markets, you will get addicted once you dive in! The stuff in the bins can range from trash to treasure. It appears that the stuff is left-over from other Goodwills. But that doest mean that theres nothing good - my friend found a brand-new laptop and only paid $3 for it. They sell nearly everything by weight, and only like $1-something per lbs. Its fun if you like fix-em-up projects and not afraid to get dirty!

I went once. The patrons are insane. Management does nothing to alleviate the ways people who are regulars behave towards other people. I have been to many Goodwill "Outlet" stores, and these regulars (they literally stay there all day long) are worse that than hyenas on a dead animal! They nearly mob store workers, throw stuff on you, and break anything they can. It is not worth my money and time to see myself and others being treated in the manner by people who have absolutely nothing better to do.

Pick literally any other Goodwill in the Dayton area, and youll be so much happier. I usually feel comfortable in these stores, but not this one. No organization whatsoever, and having to wade through the sea of people just to browse through random jarbles of tubs isnt my idea of a good shopping , experience. Stick with the Beavercreek, Wilmington Ave., and Xenia locations.

If you like people pushing, pulling, grabbing, throwing stuff and garbage, violating your personal space around you, than this is it. People lining up to plunder new bins as they are rolled out is another daily event. Bizzare pricing strategy which are not consistent. Brought friends here who thrift who then dont come back because of the outrageous behavior!!

You never know what youre going to find, and I have found some really great items at this store. The prices reflect it being an outlet rather than a regular Goodwill store. If you want organization, go to a regular Goodwill and pay the regular prices. If you want deals and a sideshow, this is the place. Everyone Ive brought here loves it.
