Purpose: Text book return $. First called and every extension I key in says "invalid"--even "0" doesnt work. Finally I used shipping and receiving extension to get past the invalid extensions. The guy in textbooks tells me specifically to get my ISBN #s together and call back and he can help me. I call back 10 minutes later with the ISBN #s. The phone system still not working. I get through via shipping again. The first fella says I didnt talk to you, I cant help you. He transfers me. I get guy number 3 and I report I have my ISBN #s. He says call back some other time, "we are busy with other things". I said, but the other guy just said 10 minutes ago to call. He said, "I cant help you now." I ask, when should I call back? In a few days he says. I said, "But the other guy just said to call back, that he would just easily put the numbers in the system." Call back some other time. Conclusion: They specifically have the phone system rigged to avoid having to help customers. Not a single I am sorry. Who is the manager at this place? Taking my business elsewhere.

SBX still keeps it real and has an old school vibe. SBX has been around for a long time and they are still the best! Their employees are friendly and accommodating and are quick to answer any and all questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. They are fair with their buyback sometimes paying half of the new price and will try to make an offer even on older books. Ive done price comparisons and their prices are usually the cheapest and they have more used books than the other places. They have a great selection of Ohio State gear and have tons of stuff on sale. They also have fun stuff like action figures, candles, posters, and other stuff. So thats why SBX is the best!!

Throughout several years of buying my textbooks at this bookstore, SBX has always been reliable: All but one time shooping here, SBX has had every book that I need - the only time that they did not have my book, I was able to reserve, then receive it, within three days. As of Spring 2014, I have also been able to RENT most all of my textbooks for a much more affordable price. They also carry a great selection of Ohio State merchandise. I choose not to shop for textbooks anywhere but here.

Called in to ask if they carried a specific notebook I was looking for and the gentleman that answered the phone was extremely rude. Said that he never heard of it before and instantly hung up the phone before I could ask any other questions. I would take my business elsewhere.

My customer experiences include finding the product I want Out of Stock and having the door slammed in my face 1 minute before closing time (by the owner?). I can get better customer service from a website, you can too.

SBX is definitely a great place to find books and Ohio State clothes! The staff is friendly and helps to create a welcoming environment, none of the impersonal feel of a large chain book store

They actually pay out decent rates when buying used textbooks from students. Super quick, no ID necessary when I sold 1 book.

SBX has the best prices on caps and gowns. I think its about $15 cheaper than Barnes and Noble and its the same exact thing.
