First off, if you are planning on selling old comics or comics in general....DO NOT GO TO THIS GUY. This guy will try to cheat you every time. If he can get them cheap and you dont know the value of what you have, he will not tell you and will try to cheat you.. This is not a lie and I am not just a disgruntled customer. THIS IS THE TRUTH. He seems legit at first but he is 100% about profits and lying to you about the actual value of your comics. I have found that when buying or selling to this guy....FIND OUT THE ACTUAL VALUE FIRST. Some things he has sold me and other customers while i was close enough to hear he claimed was a valuable hard to find variant or issue was actually only worth $5 to $10 instead of the $20 to $50 he claimed it was worth and at one point a comic worth $15 he sold to a guy claiming it was worth over $100. New issues he will sell at cover price but if he thinks it will have any value he will pull it and over price it and then place it behind the counter or in the priced box. even then when you come in looking for a specific copy he will not let you have it because he is holding it for a specific customer, even if he has 50 copies, they are all held for that customer and he even lets you know that customer is buying them all to resell for a profit. I have asked for specific comics at least 10 times and its always the same thing....he has tons of them but he will not sell to you. Ya he has some nice sells every once in a while in the back stock but thats all this guy is good for. If you are looking for a place to sell your comics, shop around on google first or go to the packrats in columbus or another in the columbus area or comic shop in waverly at the intersection of north high st and emmitt ave(23) behind the printing store. Small shop but alot nicer than this guy is and will give you a better value on your stuff and deals on stuff you want to buy. He will even order stuff for you and look for specific items. Journey into comics will not do anything for you...journey into comics may have at one time been a comic book lover but now he is nothing but a profit hungry owner who is rude and will not treat you with any respect or curtusy in his store. And if you do get on his bad side by chance he will not hesitate to let you know its his store. True comic shops are hard to find now days and this one is not one of them. This stores name shouldnt even be journey into comics anyways...its mostly empty. The name you figure would kind of eentail some kind of huge comic inventory which this store does not have. I kind of wish someone would put this guy out of business and open up a comic shop worth wanting to go to. I hate the atmosphere in this shop every time i walk into it. Just feels negative and I have also heard other customers complain and say these things too on their way out the door.. also if you look up any positive reviews, I have found they are actually from people he knows on a personal lvl and not from actual customers. Avoid this shop if you can.

This place sucks. I called in to ask for assistance and clerk hung up on me in the middle of the conversation. I called back a few times because I thought call was dropped and Joe didnt pick up the phone. I called from another line and he picked up. Customer service is horrendous. He could just tell me he cant help and that would be fine, but he would rather hang up and ignore. Avoid at all costs!

Ive been buying things for my sons Birthday and Christmas from Joe since the first year he opened up on Main St. My sons 30 now and for all these years he has cherish & still has all the things I bought him from Joes. Its the best place to build and keep memories with your sons
