Very Dissapointed with my customer service experience here. Wouldnt come back nor recommend. Nothing has prices on it. The owner is only person able to close a deal and he looks at you and determines how much he thinks you are willing to spend. Price can change every time you come in due to this method. Details: I went in for a watch battery replacement (charged $25) and a new leather watch band (originally charged $75). The first band they put on for me (they tried to "sales" me out the door with) but it had a chunk out of the bottom and other evidence of prior wear. They didnt have any others in stock and said could not re order in time. That band was going to run me ($125). So as not to loose the sale they put on an ugly brown band that I could have gotten at kohls for $7-$12 and charged me $75+$25 out the door with the promise that the person for whom I was purchasing could come back and exchange it, if need be, and they would take "GOOD" care of him. I had my children with me and didnt have any extra time to problem solve after the already 1.45 hours I had been there. We go back, well within 30 days, and they remember us, but do not want to exchange the watch band as they assume it had been worn (which it had not, because I told him not to, so we could get something not so cheep and ugly looking). FYI: They did not tell me out the door that He could not wear it in order for a return to be valid. He finds something he likes, they put it on, they argue with us about returning the other band. They wanted us to purchase both. SO ANNOYING. They tell us the new band will run us $150 for a band I could have gotten on EYSY for $40 to $65 for a raw edge natural leather espresso stained strap. Nothing fancy. No stiching, and $25 more than the prior quote. Watch how they ring you out. They charged me double sales tax when they finally agreed to the exchange, Im not going back to figure it out. Buyer be warned.

I have been to this store over the past 5 years on a few occasions with good results but my most recent experience was, in a word, terrible. I needed a battery replaced on a mid-range digital sport watch, It took 3 weeks for them to complete. They told me the battery was hard to get to.When i got the watch back i was wearing it outside in humid weather and the watch started to fog up. This had never happened before. I took it back, he had it for another 4 weeks, no one called and I dropped in and he gave me the watch back explaining that he thought it may be leaking through the function buttons which seemed odd to me as I have never worn the watch in water and never had a problem before. I asked him if he changed the seal and he said he did. When I got the watch home I found i could not set it at all and none of the function buttons worked. I decided to download the original watch manual and look into whether I could reset it or something. I followed the manual and took off the case back, since out of warranty anyway, to find that. 1) The battery was very easy to access and change 2) There was no seal on the case back where one should have been which is likely what allowed moisture to penetrate the watch and ruin it. In addition to this, one of the screws on the case back is not original and i can only assume they put the wrong screw back in. Needless to say I will never be returning to this store who ruined a watch i really liked.

In my dealings with Alex, I have found him to be very patient with my questions, ones Im sure hes answered many times before. Its clear he loves his work and sharing his knowledge with others. In the universe of those who sell watches, Alex stands above the rest in my opinion. Personally, Ive found him to be scrupulously fair in his dealings. Were lucky to have someone like Alex here in Columbus, as I doubt there is anyone within many miles who knows vintage watches better. Highly recommend.

I would give this place 6 stars if I could. Very accommodating and willing to help me out with my budget. Gabrielle was great in helping guide me to the exact ring I was looking for. Alex was also great in holding onto the ring for me while I thought it over for a night. He then gave me a great deal when I came in the next day. I would recommend them to anyone, for any occasion!

This is our jeweler of choice! We are from out of town and stumbled upon Alexanders while enjoying the Short North one day. We purchased a fabulous, unique watch and the staff was extremely helpful. We have returned to purchased an engagement ring, wedding bands and more watches :) We travel to the Short North for Alexanders and their awesome staff. Were huge fans!

Great customer service and friendly staff! Beautiful selection of jewelry! My husband purchased my wedding set from Alexander and also upgraded the diamond there as well :-) we are very happy!!
