So heres my impression of the service department at Kia Spitzer West in Parma (Brookpark and State near 480). I drove my 2014 Sorento from Houston to Cleveland to visit family and friends and take a trip to Niagara Falls in Canada. About 1300 miles one way. Upon arriving in Parma (8/4/16) I was at a stop light at Snow and Broadview when my temp gauge all of a sudden started to approach max temp! I turned on the heater to try to cool the engine down and the gauge returned to normal. I drove another 3 mins to my sisters house and shut down the motor. I did a cursory inspection and found no coolant leaks but I could smell radiator fluid. So, I made an appointment online at the closest Kia dealer since my Soto is under warranty and has ALWAYS been dealer maintained ever since I bought it new in Houston (DeMontrond Kia). I dropped it off on Friday morning (8/5/16). First impressions are important. I met with Lisa and she was super friendly and knowledgable. She told me upfront they were busy and would try to get the Soto looked at ASAP but I might not hear anything until Saturday (8/6/16) which I was ok with. I understand it was a last minute drop off and others were ahead of me in line. At least she told me up front. Anyways, I get a call on Saturday afternoon. You wont believe this! My 14 Sorento with 41000 adult-driven, dealer maintained miles has a head gasket leak and needs a NEW MOTOR!!!!! Mind you, Im from Houston, Im heading to Canada on Tuesday (8/9/16) and heading back to Houston on 8/18/16!! Now Im stressed!! I have no car and who knows how long a motor replacement will take? And what about my familys vacation?! Now what?! This is where Lisa, Tony (master Kia mechanic) and the entire Spitzer Kia West team take the cake!!! First, they hook me up with a Dodge Ram rental from Enterprise Rentals. They cover the cost of the rental for as long as they have my Sorento and tell me just to enjoy my trip to Canada and theyll keep me in the loop as parts arrive and repairs begin. While in Canada, Lisa texted me a few times just to keep me informed (like she said she would) and that eased my stress greatly! We returned from Canada on 8/12/16 and the Sorento still wasnt ready. But thats ok because we had the rental. Finally, on 8/16/16, Lisa called and said the Sorento was ready to go! I picked it up and we drove it back to Houston. 1300 miles later, were safe and sound and back home. I can NOT believe the wonderful service I received from Lisa and Tony at Spitzer Kia!! If Im ever in need of minor or major vehicle service and Im in the Parma area, I will highly recommend them to anyone and everyone!!!!

I went in for a broken A/C and it was the absolute worst customer service experience of my life time. I didnt even want to give them one star, but I had to in order to post this. The car that was in for service was a 2017 Sportage. They put in a new evaporator for the A/C which fixed the problem. A few weeks later it broke again. I had terrible customer service from the start, but after complaining, they finally agreed to expedite the new evaporator from Korea. Two days later they called to tell me they cancelled the part because they decided to randomly put the car up on a lift and they noticed a hole in the condenser. Brian, the service manager, immediately had an attitude with me on the phone and said I must have hit a rock and it would cost $1,300 to fix it and I needed to contact my insurance carrier. He was very argumentative on the phone and wouldnt listen to a word I said. When I told him I was going to get other estimates he became somewhat irate and hung up on me. When my husband and I went to pick up my car we were intimidated and bullied by Brian. At the end of my visit he actually charged after me and got in my face. I should also explain Im a woman who stands no more than 5 feet tall. He kept instigating my husband to start a fight and humiliated us in front of everyone there. I asked to speak to someone higher up than him and he responded that he was the head honcho. The people at Kia customer service (phone help) were just as rude and belittled me over the phone. They too said it was my fault and wouldnt help my further. They also said that it wasnt their problem that Brian treated my husband and I like pieces of garbage. Really customer service??? Isnt that what youre there for?? We ended up taking the car to another Kia dealership to be checked out and were told that the hole in the condenser could very well be a hole made by a screwdriver. Of course they couldnt verify that 100%. They said if it was a rock that made the damage there would be other damage to the underneath of the car which there was not. They said it could have also been a faulty condenser when the car was built, but again, we cant prove it. I was a long time Kia customer and I will never buy another Kia nor will my friends or family. It sickens me that I am stuck paying for the hole in my condenser that wasnt there before and there is nothing I can do about it. I cant believe this place is still in business.

I just leased what Spitzer said was the 1st 2017 Sportage in Ohio. Yay me! I had a great experience with George my salesman and the rest of the staff up until the very end when everything was all said and done and I was directed to the finance guy. The finance guy broke the news to me that IF I didnt lease/purchase another KIA at the end of my lease, that I will have to pay a $400 disposition fee! Needless to say I was very upset and most likely caused a scene, however, this was not presented to me when the deal was negotiated and it really rubbed me the wrong way. Like I told George, I am 53 years old and have NEVER had to pay a disposition fee for ANY lease I ever got from any dealer and that this was absurd! Let me ask the owner the question since I see most responses are from "the owner". Since I turn in most of my leases with 10000+ miles UNDER the negotiated mileage, is Spitzer Kia going to give me ALL the money for the lower miles?? I think not! Like I said George was a stand up guy and I do not fault him for all of this, it is the dealers responsibility to get their sales staff prepared for such things and NEVER ASSUME! If this is Spitzers new way of treating customers by charging them $400 for a car wash and labeling it as a disposition fee, I will NEVER RETURN! I meant to add that I also had a 2013 Chevy Equinox that was close to lease end as well which I leased from SPITZER CHEVY, and they would not allow me to turn the car in even though they are both SPITZERs. So yeah after reading this over again, I guess it really wasnt the greatest experience. Its a shame, because years ago, Spitzer used to care about their customers and their needs and now your just another number. What a shame!
