Too many times, there is a stereotype that people might have of "Middle Eastern" markets as being tiny, dirty, and poorly-stocked. My experiences in some markets in the Greater Cleveland and Detroit/Dearborn areas have unfortunately not laid that stereotype to rest, until now... I have been going to the Mediterranean Market in Middleburg Heights for the past 4 years, and have been thoroughly pleased with them since that first visit. This store is so much more that one might assume, simply from seeing it from the outside. It looks somewhat small from the curb, but inside, has a surprisingly large variety of common (and uncommon) Middle Eastern and Indian grocery items. Their produce is excellent, and fairly priced. They have a good frozen food items section, and a small but *very* clean fresh Halal meat section that has some of the best Kofta mix that I have ever eaten. Their prepared (hot and cold) foods menu is top-notch, and I have never received bad customer service from the staff. Additionally, this is one of the only places that I have found in the area, who will specially prepare Kibbee Neyeh, or an order of Kousa, upon request. In fact, Im headed that way to pick up some more Kofta for tonights dinner. Thanks, guys!

Who knew that Middleburg Heights would be such a treasure trove of specialty grocers? Behold, sleepy Pearl Road in all its culinary glory! You guys, Mediterranean Market is the real deal. Their homemade spinach/meat/cheese pies are the stuff of dreams and their homemade dips (baba, hummus, lebne) are mouth-watering. And the in-house halal butcher is everything you want a halal butcher to be! Come to stock up on dried beans, spices, lebne, pita, and zatar chip, grab some snacks from the deli case or a falafel wrap, and delight in the edible diversity of our fair city!

Aside from the store being clean, their meat department ranks supreme. I am hesitant with meat purchases and some of the meats I find at the grocery store gross me out. Every package of meat that the Mediterranean market sells looks clean and delicious. The chicken doesnt look like its filled with hormones or unnatural products. They also sell a kafta mixture complete with beef, lamb, spices, onion and parsley. It is awesome and tastes better than my moms!! Very friendly staff.

Authentic, made fresh daily (as in if you get there too early they may not be done cooking yet, and if you snooze youll likely miss out!) fantastic middle eastern cuisine and delicacies sold at the best price Ive seen in NEO. The staff is so friendly, their coolers are stocked, they can hold their own as an ethnic and fresh produce market, even meats & bakery sold here, imports and all. They have great hours, too - I truly list this store amongst my fave local gems!

Went to this market just this weekend and was so impressed by the quality of their products and price! Vegetable prices were great as well as the other products I purchased. The management went out of their way to be helpful and were very pleasant to deal with. Their stuffed grape leaves were the best I have ever eaten. We also tried their cheese pie and it was out of this world! Stop by - you wont be disappointed!

What can I say about this store? Not enough. The selection is great, the hot food is good. I bought red lentils there at 1/2 the cost I normally pay, same name brand. I bought tea there, same tea, for 1/4 the cost. I save 20$ shopping there without trying. And the help is wonderful, friendly. I will be back again and again.

They have really good baby goat, and I have tried their lamb as well. Its amazing. On thursdays they usually get the fresh stock of meat, and it disappears fast! If you order ahead they can cut the meat pieces to your size, and if you order a day in advance you get your choice of coarse/fine ground meat.

They pack a solid selection into a very small space, compared to a supermarket. This co odds easily be your main store, with trips to Aldi or GE to pick up a few things on between. Everything I checked was reasonably priced or downright inexpensive (still have to look at meat prices). Loved it.
