I bought my golden doodle here in 2014. If I could give them ZERO stars, I would. 1) He was supposed to have been neutered. He wasnt. I returned to the store with my vet paperwork to tell them and was faced by a man 3x my size who instantly became defensive and aggressive with me. I can only assume he thought my mother, who came with me, was my attorney. He had told me his mother bred all the dogs herself when I bought my boy. This time he said "the people we get them from make sure theyre neutered when we get them." After calling him out by saying, "really? I thought you said your mom bred all the dogs," he refused to say another word. I left my name and number for his mother, the owner, to call me. I was called an hour later by the son, NOT the owner, during which time he told me, "we 110% guarantee that puppy is neutered... BUT IF NOT, bring him back." No way was I making a return on a puppy who had become my son. 2) My golden doodle was supposed to be a mini and not exceed 45 lbs, as this big guido son of the owner told me. Hes definitely a standard, as he is now 75 lbs. at 1.5 years old and STILL GROWING. I feed him Fromm, a $65 bag of dog food, and hes regularly groomed and vetted. He is treated like my child. He has quite a few health issues on top of the awful way I was treated and scammed. I will never step foot in this store again. I should have taken them to small claims court. BUYER BEWARE: Whiskers will tell you whatever they have to to make a sale. Theyre charging double for amish puppy mill dogs with health issues.

I went to this place in search of a kitten and i was appalled by how they were treating these animals.... the places reeked, pee was on the floor, pregnant cats were walking around, all the animals looked sick or hungry.... I got my cat here two years ago, and he and his two "siblings" were in a small cage together that shared a side of the cage with pitbull puppies! Those dogs were biting their tails through the cages!!! I was so furious!! They told me that they gave him his vaccines and that he was fine, even though he was shaking. He looked all dirty and was malnourished... they did admit to him having ear mites which they gave me drops to treat him with... I took him anyways just to get him out of there, he was too incredibly cute and little to deal with all of that... I took him to the vet and they told me he had ringworm all over his body, which my bf and I got instantly... and the medicated drops they gave us for his earmites were poisonous for cats! He was sick for months before we got him back to health. I bathed him every day for a week with special shampoo and got him all fixed up, hes my bestie now. :) But this place is a nightmare.... I dont want anyone supporting this place, but if you can get the animals out of there and into a happy home, please do - unfortunately that puts money in these worthless peoples pockets, but help the animals if you can....

Dont waste your time at this pet store. I bought 3 piranhas from them and they all were missing big chunks out of them. The one piranha looked deathly ill and when put in the tank it just layed there. Luckily it came back up to life after I didnt think it would. I called them and asked if they had a fish warranty and the dude copped up the biggest attitude problem ever just like his brother has. Saying that the tanks are the best in town and saying there isnt anything wrong with the piranhas. First I hope you both read this, your tanks are far from the best in the town, you have an aquarium filled with tons of dead ghost shrimp in it, other aquariums are greenish and need to be cleaned, also the dead rotting fish stuck to the filters should probably get removed from you tanks sometime. The smell is horrible before you even walk in due to all the urine and feces and figuring with all the money you guys make from overpricing your dogs you would clean it up and actually get cages big enough for them instead of cramming them into a cage

A year ago I bought my "pomeranian" from them I have another pom and I love poms so trust me when say, he didnt sell me a pom. I still love my little guy but it was a complete scam. Ive given them a couple chances after that now that I am setting up a salt-water aquarium. Every time I go in they say whatever they can to make a quick sale. They sold me a 30 gallon tank for 100 dollars and told me like 3 things to buy and that it would be fine, I went to petsmart and found a 39 tank with a filter, heater, thermometer, etc for the same price. Then I went in and saw a chocolate chip star fish and they sold it to me, granted I didnt do the research before hand but, they sold him knowing about my aquarium and knowing that the conditions were not correct and lied to make the sale to me. It was only 12 dollars and now the starfish is sitting in my tank dying and theres nothing I can do about it. If they value 12 dollars over an animals life they dont deserve to be raising or selling these animals.

This place is SO BAD. When we walked in the place smelled of pee and poop. I got two hermit crabs, a tree frog, and a baby turtel from them with over 2 years. The hermit crabs both died within a week of purchase. The tree frog wouldnt eat and died within less then a month, and the turtel that I was told wouldnt be any bigger then a normal sized box turtel became huge in with we had to buy a new tank for so he had room to swim. I will never EVER buy from them again. When we walked in one day we saw two puppys in cages with nothing but bars to stand on. This is not okay for there feet and they had to have been in pain. While we were walking around after looking at them we noticed one off the workers had taken one of the puppys to the back and began to cry. I looked at me mom as we started to hear the worker yelling at the dog. What were they doing back there to the poor dog? This place shouldnt be open. It should be shut down NOW.

I cannot say of their dogs/cats, as I have always purchased those from a humane society, but this store has a more interesting fish/amphibian selection than most stores, even if the rest of the store is a bit sketchy at times; they sell yoyo loaches and striped kuhli loaches when most other stores have moved on to only stocking platys and fluorescent party fish. in spite of many times Ive seen fish eating each other there, the fish are definitely moreover in better health than you would find at Petsmart. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the health of their axolotls (then again, the only other pet store in the area I can find that even sells axolotls is all the way out in Jackson.) Definitely stick to the humane society when buying dogs/cats, as they are only guaranteed so much.
