Let me start this review by saying Im in no way trying to go out of my way to bash or destroy someones reputation. The place has a high rating due to its cleanliness and a couple very nice employees and I initially loved this store and the environment, but i will explain why i will no longer step foot in this store again. Long story short, i was interested in a rescue bearded dragon, told the employees as long as he DID NOT HAVE AN INFECTION, i would buy him. They told me it was just dry skin, 25 days later, he died. It was not dry skin, it was an incurable yellow fungus INFECTION. As sad as it is, im not upset about that. I had to meet with the owner (Jaime) of the store to try and get a refund. I showed him my receipt, and right off the bat he raised his voice at me and told me he cant do anything. He told me i had a week for returns, not a month. My receipt says 30 days. The employees said 30 days multiple times. The dragon lasted 25 days They also said he didnt have an infection. I told him the situation, he blatantly ignored everything i said and continued to raise his voice at me and glaring at me until i left. Without a doubt the most unprofessional, disrespectful and arrogant business owner i have ever met. My girlfriend also went in to talk to him and he also yelled at her and her father while the owner was holding his toddler. He single-handedly ruined multiple customers experiences because of 80$. For such an over priced store, 80$ should not be such a big deal.

I have been involved in saltwater reef keeping for several years. I have owned everything from small damsels to catsharks and a few large moray eels. I have frequented this store almost from my start in the hobby and have almost always left with a positive experience even if I did not make a purchase, sometimes its just nice to look around. Today however on a visit I found one fish near death due to harassment and a very small marbled catshark. It was obvious the shark was very underweight and had sores on its stomach. I showed this to the assistant manager, and suggested they take the shark off display and place it in a hospital tank or at least place it in a tank with fine sand and not rough substrate. As a "professional" shop they should know better. The assistants response was "the owner Jaime wont do that, if it dies it dies." I then suggested buying it myself if they would come down from $139.99 as Im not buying an already risky fish at such a high price. At this point the assistant became dismissive, hostile, and suggested I leave. I did leave and had a few other potential customers join me. I will never be back, and hope others will feel the same.

Two Turtles is your typical old school neighborhood pet store, like they used to be before PetSmart and PetCo were around. They have a wide variety of animals but lean heavily towards fish, then reptiles, cats, and birds - not so much on rodents. They also have all the supplies you would need for these types of animals. Being that it is a neighborhood store, its not all bright and shiny like a PetSmart and you can expect to find water stains on the carpet and stuff like that. On the comment about the animals being not well cared for, I sometimes question the logic of their setup there. For instance, in the summer time they have no air conditioning and the rats and mice in glass aquariums dont even move because its so hot in the store. Also, I have occasionally seen some fish in really bad shape, but not usually. Im not sure if this is due to their care or just that they dont have a "quarantine" room away from customers like larger pet stores have for sick animals. Overall its nice to have a pet store in the neighborhood but on the other hand if you dont live nearby I wouldnt make a special trip.

I went here yesterday. I brought my son, he is 2 and 1/2 yrs. old. So quite a handful in a pet shop. A guy by the name of KYLE helped us out. He was super friendly and understanding of the fact I was just re-entering the aquarium trade after being out for around 5 yrs. So I was still a bit undecided on how I wanted to start back up, He walked me through all the species he had that would work well for my newly cycled tank. ALSO, he was not rude about my son taking a liking to some of the nets and tanks. In fact, I have been to numerous places where they make you feel like a criminal when you bring your child. He was very good with my son and made the experience pleasurable for the both of us. It is hard to find someone that works with the public who is this patient, kind, and knowledgeable. I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK! I am in sales, so I know customer service. This guy was an ace. 5 stars!

Bought a bearded dragon that was a rescue and was told multiple times he did not have an infection it was just dried skin. However, it was not dried skin and he had yellow fungus which is highly contagious and incurable (if youve bought a lizard there recently, Id return him or have him checked out). Had him less than a month before he passed away. When I went back to get a refund (the receipt clearly says no refunds after 30 days but it had not been 30 days) the owner was viciously rude and was yelling (at me, a nineteen year old girl, and my father) while holding his young daughter. Hes incredibly unprofessional and obviously does not know how to keep a customer. I would NEVER reccomend anyone to ever come here for pet needs. They are not only liars (because they lied and told me he did not have an infection), they are also incredibly over-priced.

At first I really liked it here, I bought a few fish from them and some reef supplies. However, the longer I went in, the more I realized how poorly the animals were cared for. For example, the last several times Ive been in, five or more fish had SERIOUS cases of ich. Im not talking one or two spots, Im talking salted fish. Ive also been given some extremely bad advice by their "knowledgeable" staff. They certainly think they know it all, but its far from the truth. I would suggest vet checking everything they tell you against reefcentral, or something similar. As a side note, their coral prices are outrageous. Go to Captain Larrys or c-sea if youre looking for saltwater supplies.

Wonderful customer service... Been dealing with them for probably 4-5 years and they carry the higher end dog foods I feed my two Cockers. Also wonderfully satisfied with the fish weve purchased and great with salt waters that can be such sensitive systems to get up and running even giving me advice from home after hours before. Great family owned store. Had to write this after reading the bearded dragon tale... I think the key word there was probably "rescue". To want your money back for a rescue, really? Ive had nothing but good experiences at this store.
