I brought my dog into the grooming salon in Lake Mary this morning. My dog is a 37lb. neutered male American Cocker Spaniel. I asked for an even complete shave down using a number 10 blade. I normally do his grooming myself, but I figured that I would try PetSmart because I had a gift card and a coupon. She obliged to my request and I left him for his spa day. He was finished in a timely manner and I payed $47 (which was a bit much, but again I had a gift card and a coupon) and drove away with him. Upon our arrival at home, I inspected his hair cut and was immediately taken aback. His cut is EXTREMELY choppy and uneven. There are patches of long hair all over his body (eyes, stomach, jaw/chin, scrotum, ears). There is a part on his chest that looks like the clippers slipped and was cut almost to his skin. The least I expected with a simple shave-down was an even cut! I feel as though I do a better job with his cut than a trained professional! It was a simple task and the hair cut looks as though they did a quick job and were not thorough in their job. I am appalled at the quality of work done with the price I paid. I will think twice (maybe thrice) before I take my dog back to the Lake Mary PetSmart for a groom...

My kids have been asking me to adopt a cat since last year. We finally bought a house and were ready to have a cat. Yesterday around 5:00 PM, my kids and I went to the store to adopt a cat. My kids felt in love with one of the cats instantly. I went by the managers office and she was talking (personal stuff) with 2 of her co-workers. When we asked about adopting the cat, one of the co-workers got out of the office and told us that they only had one manager in the store and we had to come back tomorrow. I asked if i can put the cat we wanted on hold, she said no. I asked if there is anyone else who can help me since my kids were about to cry, she said NO, there is nothing we can do. COME BACK tomorrow. We were/are really upset because how long does to fill out an adoption paperwork for a cat????? Maybe 20 minutes? It was an old cat. They usually dont get adopted. Very disappointed with PetSmart. Well NEVER coming back to this store. One of the worst experiences Weve ever had.

I dont normally shop at big chain pet stores like this, nor do I buy commercial dog food for my dogs. However, Petsmart mailed me a coupon for a FREE bag of dog food, any brand, up to 20 pounds. I decided to redeem the coupon so I could donate the bag of dog food to a local shelter. I went in to select a bag and was greeted by Marci, a rep for Blue Wilderness who was working in that Petsmart location (although she does not work for petsmart). Marci is a very sweet and spunky older lady who helped me select a dog food. We had a lovely chat about volunteer work, and teaching children to be kind to animals. She brought a couple bags of dog food up to the register for me to make sure I got the most out of my coupon. She was very proactive in helping me, and she was a delight to talk to. Petsmart should hire Marci for themselves, and I might just shop here more often!

This place is very convenient. I come here a lot. The staff is on point and ready to assist you when ready without hovering over you the whole time. The only reason i dont give 5 stars is because of how poorly educated some people are on the fish side. I dont mean everyone but once i went in for a fish and a girl from the cat department helped me. She dropped 2 fish and almost killed them. They were hurt for sure. Both of which i had my heart set on having.... I pleaded to let me take them with me and see if i could nurse them back to health and she said no that they probably wont make it.... Idk. That was the worst expeirence i had there so i wont be too hard. I really do enjoy this place

Ive brought my dog here a couple times to be groomed with great experiences and am always satisfied with the result. My reason for 3 stars is around billing. I booked an appointment online and selected the services I wanted. Then upon drop off the simple question was asked of us "Do you want us to take care of her nails?" We answered yes thinking it was part of a full grooming. Upon pick up we were charged an additional $22 upon or normal $43 and apparently "opted-in" to this nail grinding service. Its disappointing that this wasnt clearly defined as an upgrade on drop off along with the cost because we would have never paid that much for such services.

We have brought our dog here multiple times but after this time today we will not be back. We booked an appt online and brought the dog in on time only to wait 3 1/2 hrs thinking they would be calling any time to say hes done. I finally called to check on him and he was only part way through his grooming because he wasnt started for another hour or so after his scheduled time and the groomer had been changed as well.Had to wait 15 min for them to finish after we went to get him and over heard another groomer say to a dog she was grooming" Ill give you 5 f***ing seconds". Nice. 70 dollars for the grooming and it was just so-so.

I was recently in with my three little Papillon dogs to buy them items for their birthday (May 7th). Usually I leave them in the cart, however, we decided to put them down so they could "shop" too and enjoy seeing the toys, treats, etc. I made my purchases and notice one of the Paps scratching in her car seat on the way home. Later after noticing more scratching I discovered that two of my Paps had picked up fleas while in your store. They get spot on flea treatment each month, but still were attacked by fleas. Now I guess Ill have to put flea spray on my pups before they enter your Lake Mary, FL store. :(

They placed my puppy of only a few weeks old into a bigger group of dogs for her first training session. The trainer was told she didnt have all her final shots, but said they test every dog..... but one of the other dogs was a street rescue and violent, the owner showed us bite marks all on her forearm. My corgi puppy got a fever 2 days later and had multiple vet visits, including emergency vet in the middle of the night. I paid hundreds of dollars because of them. To date they refuse to give me a refund for the training classes ($125) and I only attended one class. I will never shop with this chain ever again.

Friendly service and is very careful who they sell their pets to however, there has been videos uploaded on youtube about where they get their animals from and how they treat their animals during after-store hours...very obscene :( They do not have very many hamster toys or hermit crab toys and their caged/tanked animals are not living in environments that fit their needs. But the store is pretty clean and other than that I would recommend it but, I would suggest Petco more than Petsmart.
