This is the exact definition of the wine shop that every neighborhood needs. There is no place like this in Raleigh. The selection is good-sized, but extremely well-curated. James, Seth, Liz, and Lilly-Gray are friendly and knowledgeable, and most importantly, have tasted all of the wines. They know their producers, and if you have any questions they will certainly get answered. Pricing is fair, and recommendations have all been spot on (especially for off-the-beaten path wine regions and grapes). They will drop everything and look for any special order you may request. They have frequent, high quality tastings, and great rotating deals (the Sir Walts six pack). Small selection of beer and cordials as well. We couldnt be happier to live nearby. This is truly unparalleled customer service and selection.

First off, I have yet to visit the shop ( I live in Ft.Lauderdale) , but was impressed enough by the website and co-owners bios that I chose to place a local delivery order for my nieces 40th birthday. I was lucky enough to get Seth on the phone - he was an absolute delight and extended himself in offering the best of customer service to me. ( As a self-professed oenophile and former retail store manager myself, Seth impressed on all fronts) My niece was thrilled with her gift and excited by the selection of wines. I cant wait to take Seth up on his offer to show me around the shop when I finally visit Raleigh!

Excellent selection of both value and luxury wines. Very knowledgeable staff that can recommend wines properly based off the customers personal taste. They have a wine dispensing station with 12 wines to choose from. This is great if you want to have a drink while you browse or help figure out which direction you want to go in. They offer classes and tasting weekly in case you want to get your nerd on and they also offer non-wine options like beer, vermouths, bitters and high-end snacks to help round out your party supplies. To sum it up, this is the best wine shop in the triangle, hands down.

Seth and everyone at The Raleigh Wine Shop are GREAT to work with! They donated their time, expertise and superior customer service for a spring rejuvenation event hosted by Triangle Divorce Lawyers. From hand selecting the wine to donating a gift card for the wine station, The Raleigh Wine shop is like no other. They had several commitments on the day of the event at Triangle Divorce Lawyers, but you would have never known because they delivered what they promised. And to top it all off, the wine was delicious as usual. Thanks!

I wasted my time getting their groupon for a sake wine tasting. Its not even mentioned on their website. I called the company and turns out they wont have a sake tasting for MONTHS????! Why advertise something that you dont even have? Extreme false advertisement. I think groupon should make them fix their deal or remove them. I probably should have called before ordering a groupon, but I was certain that advertising sake meant that they would have it. Lol. I wasnt able to get a refund. So stupid.

A lotta charm here and a good range in prices, but - went on a slow-ish day (we wetent the only ppl in the shop but it wasnt busy either), and we werent greeted when we came in, or ever asked if we cld be helped. Its a nice place, but the customer service is lacking and so is the available seating.
