This was not my first tattoo. So, when I called to make an appointment I was excited that I was greeted by a very kind person, Brandi, who assured me that she and the artists would get my work done right and timely. I didnt like the design the artist came up with, which was a week later, in off season. I decided tried to make something myself. I did not get a response about my second email and sent a third email explaining. It took another 2 days for the shop to respond, only that they were swamped with appointments and short staffed and that I would be happy, eventually. I went to my appointment, excited despite the design not being completed. I showed up about 10 minutes early, I was the first appointment of the day. The doors were locked, but there were cars in the parking lot. I found out 20 minutes later, when Brandi showed up that I was not the first appointment, they allowed others to go in earlier before they were open. I filled out paper work and I patiently waited for an hour. I went in to say I was leaving when the artist came out. He looked very tired, he had been working overtime all week. Brent set me up on the computer to pick a font for the piece. When he told me he was not sure how to do the rest of my design and then told me the price, I decided to just simplify it. No need to rush on something that might not turn out right. I did get an excellent tattoo. A beautiful quote. It looks great and is healing nicely. I wish they hadnt bumped me for over an hour on my time and they should have at least apologized for the wait, given me a discount or some swag.

Went to this shop to get very simple tattoo with my girlfriend...upon appointment time the artist(derrick)gave unwanted attitude first of all...secondly the price he tried to charge for a few ekg lines $80 a piece is embarrassing. Also questioned about a tattoo my gf has and how much she paid then when she answered he was like what? Are you f****** that artist or something? When those prices are rather normal from my area...very rude very unprofessional..walked out and did not receive any work from these people and wouldnt reccomend. By far worst experience Ive had in a tattoo shop to date.

As a local and someone who has never had a tattoo before, it has been tough to find a good tattoo parlor around here. I found out about Wicked Parrot and stopped in to see if I could talk to anyone about the "Bertha" (from Grateful Dead) tattoo that I have been wanting. Brent (my artist) and the rest of the staff at Wicked Parrot were very welcoming and super professional. Brent did a KILLER job on my very first tattoo and I will most definitely be back again and again. Thanks guys!

My family and I stayed here for our vacation and like many tourist decided to get a tattoo. I wanted a bigger piece and the staff were all so wonderful about helping me set up an appointment! The artist (Derrick) was absolutely fantastic and created a masterpiece upon my leg. I recommend this tattoo shop for anyone who wants a great experience getting a tattoo. Also I recommend Derrick, because he is amazing at what he does.

My father, two brothers and I all went in for a tattoo. My one brother and I saw AJ and my dad and other brother saw Derek. Both are awesome at what they do and did exactly as we planned. I along with my brothers and father could not have been happier with our tattoos. This was my fourth tattoo and havent had an experience like this. When Im back in the Outer Banks I for sure will be stopping back.

We had an amazing experience getting cute vacation tattoos! Every one was super fun and welcoming which was a refreshing change from most tattoo places. The receptionist Brandi was so freaking nice! She wished my cousin happy birthday and was reassuring and informative. We definitely recommend this awesome tattoo place! :)

The staff was very friendly, welcoming and professional. I was very impressed with the shop itself, everyone was super nice, and just all in all a wonderful environment. Some tattoo shops I have been in, there is almost a hostile feeling when walking in, and it has felt intimidating. Not at all with this place.

WORTHLESS!!! We called ahead of time saying we were all coming in and emailed out photos of tattoos as the lady on the phone said. When we walk in they complained saying they had done a lot of tattoos today and would not do ours. ITS A TATTOO PARLOR AND THEY WOULD NOT DO OUR TATTOOS.

This was my best tattoo experience so far! Its only my second one but the staff was so friendly and greeted my wife and me as soon as we walked through the door. AJ was awesome and friendly and just a blast to be around! He calmed my wife down, even though this is also her second

Honestly one of the best experiences Ive ever had at a tattoo parlor. They were all super chill and friendly. The nose piercing I got was incredibly sanitary; every instrument was pre wrapped and he changed his gloves between marking and piercing. A really amazing place.
