Coffee: I have had the cortado, cappuccino, and pour over...all excellent. The baristas take their coffee seriously! My friends also highly recommends their dirty chai. Environment: Ample room to dock up with your mac and catch up on emails or have a business meeting. Bakery: I recommend grabbing a backed good from the bakery across from Not just Coffee...awesome pumpkin bars. Tip: The market will validate your parking. Ask any food stand where to validate ( machine is located at the end of the Japanese restaurant)

Please stop comparing Starbucks to this place. NJC is on a different planet. The skilled baristas pay close attention to each individual cup they produce. Its not mass produced and sitting there getting stale like the traditional coffee houses. The espresso shots are great because they use quality beans that are roasted correctly and not burnt. It may take 5-10 minutes to get a cup (depending on how busy), but its worth it. Go here and get great coffee and support local business.

Barista was pretty damn rude. I used to live in Portland Oregon so I figured Id probably like this place... These are not real hipsters, theyre just weird AF. Also if you dont tip them for literally pouring a cold brew on ice they will glare at you until you leave. Second time Ive given this place a chance, and the second time I was dissatisfied. Not returning. But hey if all thats what youre interested in youll probably like this place. Also, the cold brew was nasty.

Slooooooow service... I waited about 12-15 minutes to be told that my drink was 3 orders back in line, despite not many people being around me me waiting for their orders. Coffee was pretty decent, but not the best Ive had (not even the best Ive had in the past few weeks). Considering the high expectations I set for this place, Id call it a disappointment. The market area where the café is located, however, is pretty charming. Summary: good, but absolutely overrated.

Was more about the "look and feel" of the place then the quality of the coffee and service. Being from out of town and o ly up to see the family.was looking for a good place to just sit and have some coffee. The coffee was good, but there is better out there for less money. The service, well just not there at all. Not going to be a place I will be going back to when I am in town. I will stick with Smelly Cat coffee, better coffee and WAY better service.

Heard the coffee was great here, so I walked over to 7th street market during a break from work. Barista ignored & didnt serve me for about 5 minutes while on a rant to his friend about how he despises living in Charlotte & the banking culture. Left without coffee & will not return, worst customer service I have ever received. Its too bad because I thought I finally found my place for quality beans in CLT

Super disappointed in the service and quality. Had heard great things about this place and went out of our way to try it yesterday. Asked for light ice in my cold brew - (politely reminding her when she was filling up the cup too full.) Barista rolled her eyes at me, rudely tossing the ice into the sink. Not the kind of treatment I expected for the supposed "best coffee in Charlotte."

The BEST coffee in Charlotte. Incredible environment, amazing people, and even better customer service. If youre looking for a Starbucks burnt coffee order in 30 seconds and out the door youve come to the wrong place. This place provides a unique experience not just a cup of coffee. Each order is made unlike any other by hand with precision and the pay off is divine.

The pour over is amazing. I drink it black and dont add a thing. Its incredible to taste the different notes of flavor from the coffee beans and roast profile. Too often we are drinking burnt, unbalanced, or bad tasting coffee that we then cover up with milk and sugar. The vibe here is inspiring. I love the open doors and sort of outdoor indoor blend.

This place is amazing! I live an hour away and my mom and I talk about this place all the time about driving all the way here for our coffee... its THAT good. Try the caramel latte. Made in house. Dont expect it to be as fast as coffee at McDonalds (yuck) ... this is not just coffee... its art! :) Well be back here any time were in town!

Absolutely the best coffee in town. Its almost like a hidden gem . . . thats completely out in the open at the 7th Street Market. If you havent tried it yet, do yourself a favor and make a visit. They make every cup, even a "basic" cup of coffee, to order and by hand. The difference is incredible. Its also one of the friendliest staffs.

Expert baristas armed with top of the line equipment, counter culture beans and house made adjuncts. Quality rules over quantity with small servings and high prices for the area but worth it in my opinion. Hipster vibe with available bar and table seating inside the 7th Street market. No food except brucs bars.

I had the BEST vanilla bean sugar latte from this cool spot inside of 7th Street Public Market (another cool place to visit and get lost in). Loved the quick service and I was lucky enough to snag a seat on the counter to watch all the barista action...baristas in action, making coffee. ;)

James has worked from the ground up to bring stellar coffee service to Charlotte. He and his crew know the bean, make many of their own additional ingredients on site (fresh caramel, pumpkin spice, etc.) Host many a espresso nerd for regional TNTs. Good things!

This is some of the best espresso Ive ever had. They offer much higher quality coffee than you will find at your typical coffee chain. It is not a standalone shop, its in the 7th street market. A fun environment with lots of cool things to do nearby.

Whats there to complain about?! Counter Culture coffee, pulled well and in an amazing atmosphere. Nuff said :) Go enjoy and while youre there check out some of the other shops nearby. Very very cool atmosphere. Reminiscent of Chelsea Market in NYC.

Great, fresh, Onyx and Counter Culture coffee and people. I want to leave five stars but the typical process was in place: start the pour over, help other customers, pour over is crap. Next time Ill just go ten minutes out-of-the-way for smelly cat.

Wonderful tiny, tiny, tiny cup of $5 latte espresso. It was good coffee, but can I be honest? I was a bit surprised an 8oz coffee cost $5 bucks. They probably need to rethink either the size or pricing. I mean... its just coffee.

Wonderful coffee, you can really taste the extra care they put into each cup. The iced mocha is the best go-to, but if the Foggy London Town is in season, you HAVE to try it. Best latte Ive ever had, hands down.

Being from Seattle where there is a coffee shop on every corner i am super impressed with thr quality and staffs attention to detail while making drinks. Will be making a few more visits before I return home.

As the name implies, coffee is an art. Each cup is made with precision and ready for a photo-op when served - unless you take it to go, then it comes in a hand-stamped, paper to-go cup. Delicious.

The place leaves Starbucks in the dust. Second best coffee after a coffee shop in Italia. I wish the best to this guys, I hope that they do well and expand, but keep their product original.
