Walking into the Mast General store is like taking a step back in time. Walking in you will be immersed in 3 floors worth of candy and goods. There is a very large variety of things in this store and I promise you cannot walk into this store without feeling the urge to buy something unique that you dont see everyday. This small time thrift/ candy store is very unique in its own right considering there were only 9 of them ever made. The old fashioned candy is amazing and I have never seen such a display of uniqueness when it comes to way the merchandise is presented. If you are in Boone, take a stroll down Kings street and see what this store has to offer you.

If you love old style candy stores, this is the place for you! Lots of candy that you have not seen for years as well as your newer favorites, you can find it all here. Not the cheapest place in the world, but loads of fun. They also have ice cream in the summer. It is connected to the mast Store Annex, which has clothing and outdoor gear and is located just a little ways from the original Mast Store.

The Candy Barrel at the Mast Store Annex is an absolute treat for all ages. Most candies are sold by the pound so grab a bucket and enjoy. Located behind the annex is Dutch Creek ice cream which is an absolute treat as well. Enjoy your candies or ice cream while sitting on the shaded banks of the Dutch Creek.

Beautiful addition to the original Mast General Store. This is also an historic building, old fashion candy in barrels, clothes and hiking equipment for purchase. Old fashioned ice cream hut behind the building next to a beautiful, peaceful river where you can enjoy your ice cream at picnic tables.

Great addition to the Mast family, kids can get ice cream out back and splash around in the lazy creek. That is, after theyve loaded up with sacks of goodies at the Candy Barrel in the main building! A must-stop-at in connection with the Mast General Store thats a touch further down the road.

Always a great experience n all the employees at both the annexes are so helpful and friendly. Love the original store and they have any kind of cast iron cookware you could imagine and didnt know was even out there and oh my gosh -the candy store, just cant get enough !

Always a great stop when in this area. The "annex" focuses more on candy and other goodies than the original Mast store down the road. Be prepared for long lines though during peak travel seasons as the "candy by the pound" is immensely popular.

This is a fun place to go when youre on vacation. Its really over priced, but fun. Lots of candies to pick from. Nothing here you couldnt but at Target or World Market. Still, its just fun to visit an old little shop like this.

Its a cute building but they sell basic gifts that every other general store across the country have... The t shirts are the only original thing they sell, but that is just because the places name is different.

These are our neighbors, and both the Annex and The Original Mast General Store are veritable destinations, wonderful products, fair prices, and wonderful friendly staff. A very creative product mix as well.
