A very delightful place to shop, each and every time I go. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful, as are all the employees. Wouldnt ever dream of shopping elsewhere! RE: Mixed Bag & Mean Old Lady reviews... Im wondering if they are confused with another store in Asheville, as there certainly arent any store employees who remotely sound like those youve described. Perhaps the problem was with the shopper and NOT the store!!

House of fabrics is quite nice if you are spending, spending spending. They have little time if browsing and ask questions. I have purchased some beautiful silks one time then the next time saw absolutely nothing I wanted. The owner said she gets end of bolts from New York - Not my favorite place because some of the clerks are indifferent, yet once in a while you get someone who is positive and really helpful.

Jennifer offered some tips that would spare me some trouble down the road. She was attuned to my needs/qs simultaneous to everything else that was buzzing in the shop. At HofF, youll find some nice silks, knits, and tons of novelty fabrics ... and a good spread of sale items. Most noteworthy, is that it is a pleasant shopping experience due to the professionalism of staff and community-exposure.

I visited House of Fabrics during a vacation to the area, and I had such a pleasant experience! The staff was friendly and helpful, but not at all pushy. They have a beautifully curated selection of fabrics. If I hadnt has a weight limit on my luggage, Id have bought much more! As it was, the fabrics I did bring home have sewn and worn well. Ill be visiting again when I am in Asheville!

Ive been to a lot of fabric stores. Never have I been treated so rudely. I believe it is the owner and both times Ive been in shes condescended to my questions. Shes mean and unhelpful. Never again.

I like this store. There selection isnt very large, but the people are helpful and nice. I send people there all the time.
