This place has the cheapest fabric you can find anywhere. Its different stuff every time you go in and you cant count on them to have any particular basic. But its fun to load up. That said... This place has the worst customer service on the planet. Really! I have never ever in 48 years of life come across a place that has such rude, smart mouth, (bad word) women!!!! ?I have been there three or four times and this is the first time I am reviewing. Every single time, they act the same way. They could care less that you are there, much less signing their pay check. They will run you out..LITERALLY.. when its closing time., They dont care how much you are spending. Tonight I was the last customer, I thought my total seemed high, they would not let me look over the check but rushed me out the door. Got home to discover I was over charged EIGHT yards of fabric!!! I will have to go back there in the morning. How do you prove you didnt leave a piece at home? I will have Clark Howard all over them if they do me wrong. They have done it before. Make sure you have time and watch every item they ring up. Do not ask for help finding anything or for a certain type, they will say they "dont know, its different every day" Well, they know where home dec is, and linings, trim, felt & upholstery, etc. Every single time I go I am furious when I leave, but I still have great loot.

If youve ever said to yourself "I want to go to a great fabric salvage/remainder place, but Fine Fabrics is way too tame and orderly," Fabric World is for you. There are some fabrics on bolts, but youre mostly clawing through tables heaped high with unsorted piles of bolt ends and miscuts. Like any fabric store, the dust and sizing/adhesive fumes are strong here. Nothing is reorderable or even predictably available; you never know what youll find. As a historical costumer, sometimes I go and dont find anything I can use (rayon/poly knits dominate the apparel tables, and even a lot of the natural fibers in the home dec section come with upholstery backing)...and then sometimes I walk out with a whole bolt of 60" name-brand designer wool coating or silk taffeta that cost me $3/yard. You are not misreading that. Watch the folks at the cutting counter/your sales ticket; sometimes they misprice your stuff, but if you mention it, theyll usually correct the mistake without a fuss. If you go in with the attitude that youre visiting the fabric equivalent of a thrift store, Fabric World is well worth a visit. Even if youre not impressed on the first go-around, as I wasnt, the selection turns over so frequently that its worth checking back periodically to see what you find

If youre looking for apparel fabrics, with some digging you can probably find one or two really nice fabrics for dirt cheap. Otherwise, the apparel fabrics are mostly cheap and polyester. They seemed to have a bigger selection for decor fabrics, definitely had a nice and cheap selection of decor trims. Cheap muslin, cheap interfacing. All in all, its not where youre going to find everything you need. Its more of a super cheap surprise. I left with 5 yards of one rayon print and 4 yards of another rayon print, six yards of interfacing, and 100 buttons for $11. Ill probably always go to Fabric World for interfacing and muslin now that I know that its there.

Visited this store today and it was HORRIBLE! This fabric store has got to be the worst when it comes to customer service. The store is very unorganized. As for the staff they are extremely rude. I had 2 bad experiences with them after the 1st time I decided to give them another try but that was a horrible choice. The way they are not willing to help customers out is outrageous. And they say that is there policy, how not giving great customer service is not policy. I will never return to this store nor will I ever send anyone to this store. They need to close if their policy is not to assist customers.

The selection for the low prices is unbeatable, which is the sole reason for the stars. They close early and arent open on Sunday or Monday. There is a bad odor that sometimes is in the fabrics. The service is horrible. Ive learned to buy an extra half yard or more because they cut terribly, to allow at least 20 minutes to check out even when they arent busy, and to paste on a smile in response to serious attitude problems from the employees. Its all worth it for the price though; just be prepared!

I have used this store to purchase fabric for EVERY window dressing/curtain in my house over the last 10 years. Have been there 3 times just in Dec. 2014 and actually had great service. A man went to the back room to pull out a roll of exactly what i was looking for, and even gave me some tips for using it in its outdoor purpose. Great prices and choices ... just know that they are usually irregulars. A "thumbs up" from me.

While in Lawrenceville, I had a opportunity to visit Fabric World and I had a blast. The selection of fabrics available were great. The prices unbelievable. I purchased a piece of scuba for 1.99 yd. It found some really beautiful and unique fabrics. The staff was courteous and helpful. I had a great experience and cant wait to visit them again.

This place practically gives its fabric away (prices are sooo cheap)! The selection is great and I never leave without a bargain. SHOP HERE BEFORE GOING TO JOANNS!!!! I think the owners are a bunch of rich, bored guys looking for a tax break[ : )]. The customer service is the best.

We were visiting in GA and saw the Fabric World Store.. We loved it. The lady that waited on us, was so very kind. She answered all our questions and so did the other staff. We cant wait until next year to visit with them again!!! Prices were great!

This store is always packed with fabrics. Its a no frills kind of place with lots of titles set up with scrap yardage. Store is arranged by color and type of fabric making it easy to find what you need. Prices starting at $1.99 A yard.

In one week I bought drapery fabric for an entire house - all for $3 a yard. I am so happy. It took a week because the selection changes every day. If you see something you like, buy it because it will be gone on your next visit.

Absolutely love Fabric World!! However, I wish it were more than one location. It is so far from where I live (city of Atlanta). Overall, great fabric selections, great prices and great service!

This lady despite being Latina and working with public is a person of bad humor and does things reluctantly, if one already feels tired in a job is better left.
